Violentine (non apoc)

Chapter 6.

A couple of hours later myself and Violet were watching a film while Louis went to go get some groceries. I wasn't really paying attention to the film, i was looking out the window. Some part of me was waiting for Gabe and the other part was me waiting for the police to come and tell me he was pressing charges.

"Clem?" Violet mumbled, noticing i wasn't paying attention.

"Hm?" I asked.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah." I smiled.

"He's not gonna come back, he doesn't know where you are." She said.

"He'll boot down doors until he does." I said.

"It's gonna be okay, i wouldn't even think he's out of care yet." She said.

"Yeah you're probably right." I said.

I fixed my vision back to the T.V. I did feel safe in Louis's house and with Violet but some part of me just couldn't believe i was. A few minutes later the movie got interesting and i was watching it but then my phone rang, causing me to jump. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw it was an unknown number.

"I'll be back in a sec." I said, getting up and walking out.

"Okay." Violet nodded.

I went out to the kitchen and hesitated before pressing accept.

"Hello?" I said.

"Hey Clementine, it's Marianna." A familiar feminine voice said.

"Marianna?" I said, a bit shocked.

"How are you doing?" She asked.

"Im okay, you?" I asked.

"I'm alright. Listen i heard about Gabe, im actually here in hospital with him." She said.

"You know what happened?" I asked hesitantly.

"Yeah, i got all the details from his doctor. How are you doing? Did he hurt you?" She asked and i was surprised at the question.

"No." I lied, hesitanting.

"What did he do?" She asked, knowing i was lying.

"He just hit me but it's okay." I sighed.

"That estúpido." She said, sounding angry. "Im taking him back home once he's released."

"Did i, do any damage?" I asked.

"Scraps and bruises, he's going to be fine." She said, still sounding angry. "Im so sorry for what he done."

"Thank you." I said.

"I'll keep you updated, bye Clem." She said.

"Thanks Mari." I said.

She hung up the phone and i was left in shock. I was introduced to Marianna by Gabe around one month into our relationship but she was never really around as she lived a few hours away. The only reason she would know was from the bruises that i tried to cover up but never did a good job and now she's finally stepping in. I returned back to the living room and kinda stumbled a bit.

"Clem? You okay?" Violet asked.

"Yeah im just gonna go lie down for a bit." I said.

"Okay." She nodded. "You sure you're okay?"

I nodded my head and left to go to my room. It didn't feel real, part of me believed i was going insane and no one actually rang me. I got to my room and got straight into bed, laying on my back. I didn't believe it, Marianna wasn't going to be able to prevent him from coming back even if she tried her hardest. If Gabe wanted to he would. A couple of minutes later i fell asleep and a few hours later, woke up to a knock on my door.
