(Foxy's POV)

Today was the day that the crew decided we were going to have a deep clean of the ship. It was about time to, seeing the state of some rooms.
We had come together and decided we would clean out our rooms first, putting all the things we didn't want in a pile and bringing it to the dump site on land.
I opened my bedroom door, for once noticing how bad it had gotten. This would be one hell of a job to get through. I started by emptying out all the draws. That way I could sort though everything on a bigger surface. However, as I tipped Iver the last draw, an object jumped out and landed on the floor.
It was a book.
But not just any book. My old diary. I hadn't seen that thing in years. I probably didn't had enough time to skim through it now though. Maybe after our deep clean.
I put it on night stand, making a mental note to read it before going to sleep. You never know, there might be something important in it.

{Time skip}

After what felt like ages me and my crew had finally finished the clean out session. Perfect timing aswell; I could see the sun slowly sinking behind the far away mountains.

"Sooo....what now?" I heard a voice behind me. Spinning around on my heel I turned to see marionette.

"Simple. We just go back to the ship, avoid all the people, and sleep."

"Why do we have to avoid the people. Is something wrong?" Came the reply from Freddy.

"Yeah doofus. We're a bunch of misfits and this town hates that things father." Golden Freddy pointed at me.

"Well...there was definitely a better way if putting that, but technically. Yes."

"Ughh, can you all just stop bickering and go back??? I'm hungry and tireddd!" Of course, (og) chica was hungry. At least everybody agreed with her though, and we began teh walk back.

By the time we got to the ship the sun had fully sunken out the sky, and the first stars where piercing the sky. We got on board and headed to our rooms. At last I could read that old diary.

"Dear diary,
I've decided that I'm going to start writing this. I want to remember every detail about my new friend."

Huh. I did a good job at not forgetting that. I though.

"If I remembered to, there should be a small book in this one about mermaids. Does that give a clue about my friend?"

Another book? I flicked to the end of the diary. There is was. A book called "Mer Facts". It was is not so good condition if I say so myself, but when I was a kid it was really old. What could be expected; I brought that book everywhere. I put the diary in an empty draw. I could look at that again tomorrow. For now I wanted to focus on this other book. It had an ombre effect in the front. Green to blue to purple with drawn on bubbles to mimic underwater. The letters themselves had thin outlines of different colours. Mostly red, orange, green, and pink. It would have looked quite pretty if it wasn't all beaten up.
I flicked through the dog eared pages, one section catching my eye. It was the most unkempt page of them all, notes scrawled on any blank space.
