Jace's POV
I went up to my room after my shower, closing the door behind me. I called Crystal. I didn't know how she was going to react. 50 percent of me felt like she'd be happy I pushed her off and called to tell her, and 50 percent told me she was going to break up with me. The phone rang twice before she picked up. "Hey Scrub!" she said I could hear her smiling on the other end of the phone. "Hey Crys.." I said I bet she could tell It was something going on. I was so terrible at hiding things.
"Whats wrong?"
"So..Something happened.." I said pacing back and forth in my room. "i'm Listening.." she said her tone visbly changed. I explained the whole day to her instead of just telling her that one little part. I tend to over talk when i'm nervous. "I'm going to beat that preppy bitches ass." she said , I sighed in relief cause she wasn't mad at me. "Well besides that how was your day ?" she asked , I could tell in her tone she was mad as fuck. I started telling her about how I remet Ellie and how she probably knew her. "Oh yeah I know her she didn't really get much play time I don't know why though i'd peep in pratice she was pretty good. Real quiet though."
From what I remebered Ellie was always quiet, til she got on the court I don't think it because she was shy but probably because she simply didn't have much to say. "So y'all gone start hanging out and stuff?.." she said, the way she said that made me feel a little off so, I guess the guys assumptions were right. "Well I don't know , I have a class with her and a project but that's pretty much it, Yall should met formally and maybe play with eachother. You don't got no female friends forreal maybe she will be good for you." I said, I wanted to hang out the Ellie , I felt like she was a little piece of my childhood and I wanted her around.
"Uhh.. I don't know maybe..I'll think about it. Anywyas are you excited for your birthday? You'll be 18 this yearrr BIGG GROWN! Last year I know I probably fucked it up with the shit about the coach, but this year it's gonna be different Scrub I promise." I smiled, my birthday definitly in October it definitly was still early September, but couldn't help my mind flashing back to last years problem. "I got some news for you." she said trailing off. "Good or bad ?"
"I think it's best I tell you in person.. I'll come see you friday?"She trailed off yet again..Tf was she on. "Umm okay." with that we chopped it up for about 30 more minutes, her vibe seemed completely off.

**Friday After School**
Ellie's POV
"Ellie!" I heard looking back seeing CJ jogging up to me. "Hey Love." I said greeting him with a warm smile, I was hugging my laptop walking to my car because at this school text books didn't seem to be a thing. "Hey Ellie, You still down for the sleepover?" I know what your thinking, but Nope, Cj let it be known that he was very gay when I first met him. I met him my first day but, we hit it off really well yesterday and he invited me to his crib since his dad was going to be out of town. "you know it. We're still going to binge watch all the "Screams" right?"
"Hell yeah you know that's my favorite franchise." He was a die hard horror fan he let it be known that he had the actual disc to the movies and not on any streaming platforms. "Okay bet. I'm gonna go home, pack my things , then make my way to your house?" He nodded in agreement. I got in my car making my way to my apartment. This week felt so length I'm not even sure why. I was loaded in work plus that project. We almost finished it yesterday after school but, it still needed to be looked over again.

I pulled into CJ's house getting out the car making my way to the frontdoor with my school bag and my spend a night duffle bag. I was going to try to get majority of the work finished while we watched the movies if he didn't mind. "Hey Ellie come in mi casa es su casa." he said letting me in and grabbing my bags. "Here i'll take you up to the guest room it's right across from mine." I nodded looking around, I had never seen house so big in my life. We walked up the what seem like 10 flights of stairs , but was really two really long flights.
