    I woke up with the ongoing debate running through my mind. Should I take up Cucurucho on the offer or not? I'll think about it during breakfast. With that said, I got up and got ready for the day. I went to the kitchen and sat at the table as Papa placed a plate of avocado toast in front of me.

    Papa and Pa were talking together as I let myself return to my current dilemma. No one believes me anymore, not even Tallulah or Pa. Maybe I can strike a different deal with Cucurucho. I could unofficially join the Federation so I can still stay with my parents but still get the benefits of what my brother was offering. That should work. Hopefully he'll accept my offer.

    "Chayanne?" I looked up as I heard my name get called. "Can we talk?"

    "What's up?" I asked as I looked between my parents. They had nervous looks on their faces.

    "We, uhm, wanted to talk about your habits," Pa said as he looked at Papa.

    "My habits?" I questioned. "What about them? If this about me fighting almost everything I see then I'm working on it."

    "You should work on that," Papa said. "That's not the issue though. We talked about it last night."

    "Seriously." I deadpanned. "You're kidding right? I already told you I'm not delusional. You all saw Techno."

    "Chayanne.." Pa whispered.

    "Pa you saw him! You told me yourself!" I exclaimed.

    "I know you really don't want to hear this but I never really saw him," Pa said. "I was just trying to make you feel better. Phil told me you were supposedly talking to Techno so I played a part."

    I felt anger and betrayal course through my body. And to think I actually believed Pa. Why does no one believe me anymore? How many people have lied to me? Cucurucho's offer is sounding more and more appealing.

    "Chayanne?" Papa said softly. "I get that you're upset but-"

    "NO!" I cut him off. "You don't get it! You don't get how annoying and upsetting it is to have your own family, the people that swore to protect and love you, not believe you! You don't get it at all!"

    I stormed off to my room and grabbed a backpack. I shoved a few sets of clothes along with a picture of me and my parents into the bag.  After double checking that I had the few things I needed, I stormed back to the main part of the house and out the door. 

    "Chayanne!" I heard Papa yell as I slammed the door shut.

    I didn't look back or stop walking.  I could hear my parents begging for me to come back as I walked further and further away from home.  I finally stopped walking when I got to the spot where I had seen Cucurucho the previous day.  I sat down with my back leaning against one of the trees and waited until my brother got here.

    "You're here early," Cucurucho spoke as he approached me many hours later.

    "So are you," I said.  We still had about an hour before we agreed to meet.

    "I'm on time," Cucurucho said.  "If I had gotten here when we said we would meet, I would have been late."

    "Right," I rolled my eyes.

    "That aside," my brother spoke, "have you had enough time to think about my offer?  You technically still have an hour until you need to make your decision."

    "I actually have a counter offer for you.  If you consider it that," I said.

    "I'm listening," Cucurucho said, intrigued.

    "I unofficially join the Federation," I said, "meaning that I don't stay with you.  It would be too easy for people to find me after you kidnapped me the last time.  You still help me though.  How's that sound?"

    Cucurucho thought for a moment before he spoke.  "That sounds fair.  Alright, you have yourself a deal.  You unofficially join the Federation and I'll help you see Techno again."

    Cucurucho extended his hand so I took it in mine and we shook hands.  I kinda feel like I just sold my soul.  Oh well.  I mean what's the worst that could happen?

    "Would you like to get started today?" my brother asked. 

    "Sure, that works," I replied.

    "When did you first start seeing Techno?" Cucurucho asked.

    "Phil was telling me a story about the Antarctic Empire and I looked over and saw him," I told him.

    "Maybe we need to try and recreate that moment?" he suggested.

    "That might work," I said, thinking about the idea.  "Let's try it."

    Cucurucho and I walked over to the wall and sat near the edge.  Everything seemed perfect.  The sunset had pretty pink and gold hues to it.  It looked similar to the one I had seen when Phil told me about his adventures with Techno.  I stared off into the distance as I tried to recreate the moment in my head. 

    About 5 minutes later I opened my eyes and looked to my right.  For a brief moment I saw him.  I saw Techno.  He looked down at me before he faded away again.  My hope had been restored.  After 3 months of not being able to see Techno, I had finally seen him again.  I turned to my brother and gave him a smile and a nod.

    "I'm taking it that you saw him?" Cucurucho asked.

    "I did," I said as I looked back at the sunset.  "For a moment I was able to see Techno again.  He disappeared though."

    "At least we know he's still here," my brother pointed out.  "Maybe we should come here each day until you can see him fully.  Or if you recreate what you did to make him fully visible.  Maybe that could work."

    "What I did ended up exploding in my face, literally" I said as I remembered how my friends and I got hurt because of my idea.

    "Hey," Cucurucho said softly, "it's not all your fault.  Maybe some of the wiring was faulty?"

    "Or my code was messed up," I pointed out.  "Either way it was my idea so therefore I'm taking the blame for it."

    "Why don't we just try your code again?"  my brother offered.  "The Federation has their own lab that you could use to test it without getting hurt.  I said I'd help you and that's what I plan on doing."

    "Alright, we can test my code again," I said reluctantly.  "But if it blows up again, I'm not trying it a third time."

    "Okay," Cucurucho nodded.

    With that, my brother and I left to go to the Federation building.  As we were walking, it got darker.  The stars and the moon shone brightly in the clear night sky.  It was kinda beautiful actually.

Yikes sooooo its been a while for this book huh?  Unfortunately, I don't remember where I was going with this book, nor am I apart of the fandom anymore.  I still have my notes on it but can't make sense of them, I blame the adhd.  That being said, I am going to discontinue the story.  I hate doing that as I have finished multiple books and hate leaving things unfinished.  I apologize for this but I have to do this so I can stop worrying about it.  I encourage you guys to check out my other stories as I am releasing new content now.  I'm working on a six-book series as well so I am putting a lot of effort into that as well as my college classes(yeah ya boi in college now).  I also have a oneshot book that I am writing for, and I do take recommendations for that!  I thank all of you for your support on this story.  As always, love yall <3
