"Lincoln. Lincoln! Lincoln Martin wake up!"

Lincoln Martin opens his eyes to see his best friend standing above him, "How did you get in my room, Stiles?" He asked into his pillow. Stiles rips the blanket away from Lincoln making the blond boy glare at him. "You're gonna want to hear this. Trust me, Linc."

Lincoln, still tired, doesn't see the pair of pants Stiles throws at him. "Dude, what the hell?" He questioned. "There's a body - a half of a body in the woods. My dad just left about twenty minutes ago they're bringing in every officer and even the state police. Scott is waiting for us, so come on." Stiles says sniffing a shirt before tossing it to Lincoln.

"So?" Lincoln asks as he gets dressed, "What are we supposed to do?" Stiles doesn't answer as he finds a flashlight and checks to make sure it works. "Stiles?" Lincoln asks, grabbing his shoes and a sweatshirt.

"Stiles!" Lincoln screams as he watches Stiles climb out of his house. "We're going to find the other half."

🐺

"Are we seriously doing this?" Scott asks as Stiles hands Lincoln a flashlight and he turns around to blind the third persian in the trio. "You're the one always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town." Lincoln says to him.

"I was trying to get a good night's sleep before practice tomorrow." Scott says defending himself causing Stiles to laugh, "Right, cause sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort."

"No, because I'm playing this year. In fact, I'm making first line."

"That's the spirit."

"Hey, I'll talk to Coach, okay? We practiced all summer." Lincoln tells him with a hopeful smile before turning to Stiles and muttering, "And then I'll find my birth parents." He said before laughing.

"Lincoln." Scott sighs. "Everyone should have a dream, even a pathetically unrealistic one, Scott." Stiles says. "Just out of curiosity, which part of the body are we looking for?" Scott asks as he starts to look around the woods.

"What if whoever killed the body is still out here?" Lincoln asks as he shines the light around, "He could be on a spree and after us next. I don't want a guy in a striped sweater to jump out and rip me apart. "

"You need to stop watching horror movies before bed." Stiles says as he points his fingers at him before shaking his head.

"It's comforting to know you've planned this out with your usual attention to detail." Scott says as they reach the top of the hill. Lincoln walks up to Stiles patting his back, "This is why I usually make the plans. So, you know, nobody gets murdered. Or caught."

Scott leans against a tree a little bit away from them out of breath, "Maybe the severe asthmatic should be the one holding a flashlight?" Causing both teens to look back at him. Lincoln sighs as he stops and starts to walk back to Scott when he sees lights shining around them. "Shit." He mutters as he hears the police and dogs a few feet away from them. He grabs both of their flashlights, turning them off and throwing them far away.
