The day of confession planned by Subhashikta was shining a light more brightly to her eyes. She had considered that brightness as the cheering message for going ahead, and for grabbing the best moments of her life. All she needed to do was getting ready for the adventure of the day.
After changing several dresses she chose the attire which suited the best to her eyes. Simple look always shines along with her cuteness. Before wrapping up the dressing session fully she didn't forget to check on herself once more ensuring her flawless look for the special day.
She was trying to act normal around Radhika and Smriti. As expected Smriti suggested Subhashikta for not going to college on Valentine's day, but Radhika supported her sister preferring her neat and clean record till then.
It was quite true that Subhashikta had formal friends only, and she had followed Smriti's conservative rules of friendship accepting that as her care. Smriti couldn't find any words to deny after Radhika's intervention.
On the other hand Parth and Krish were celebrating Valentine's day with their childhood sweetheart cum grand maa, Anyasa. Preparing breakfast, serving her on their own, and giving her special Valentine's promise of loving her forever were the part of their celebration.
After celebrating they both headed to reach college. They had to submit assignment on that day. Students must have planned to celebrate Valentine's day conveniently as the occasion fall on weekend, but submission of assignment had made the taste of celebration sour.
Parth and Krish reached college a little later than their usual time. Subhashikta had left for class deciding to reveal her surprise to Parth during lunch time.
After long hours of desperate wait when lunch time commenced Subhashikta felt fully nervous. She was feeling like to drop her idea. Then she got an idea of placing her confession card in Parth and Krish's car secretly.
She was on her way to parking area.
"Trisha is sensible girl. She will surely understand your situation," Krish was the first one whom Subhashikta heard.
"Yet I should haven't shouted at her," Parth was guilty remembering his last encounter with Trisha.
"You are just over thinking, Buddy. Just go to her, and have a talk," shaking Parth by shoulder Krish tried to cheer him up.
"I don't have the courage for now. I wish our bond could be better," feeling guilty was so obvious for a sensitive person like Parth after venting out his anger on someone without any such strong reason.
After hearing the conversation of the duo Subhashikta was standing shocked to feel the world around her and the heartbeat inside her. Whatever she heard that was enough for creating misconception in her mind about Parth and Trisha.
She went back from there before they could notice her.
After that incident Subhashikta lessened her interaction with Parth, Krish and her family, because she didn't want anyone to sense anything about her broken heart.
If anyone used to ask about her unusual silence she used to give the excuse of academics pressure, but two people weren't convinced by that reason. One was Parth and other one was Smriti aunty.
Smiriti aunty was the guardian of Radhika and Subhashikta after the tragedies occurred in their life. Smiriti not only looked after the sisters but also looked around them strictly ensuring their safety. Behind her strictness there was serene figure of mother who hardly comes out.
On day Smiriti headed to have a straight talk with Subhashikta.
"Subha, what's going on?" Smiriti barged inside Subhashikta's room when she was looking at the notes she prepared with help of Parth.
"Nothing, aunty. I was just checking the portions I need to complete," to her luck, Subhashikta had something to say without any pause.
"You have started lying even! Is it the first time or have you attempted this before?" Smiriti glared at Subhashikta making her tensed.
"Who's that boy?" Smiriti never had taken help of any kind of build up while asking or suggesting something.
"About whom are you asking, aunty?" Subhashikta was praying to escape from the interrogation.
"I am asking about the boy who's the reason of your tears. I can differentiate well in between the eyes swollen due to cold and the eyes swollen due to crying," Smiriti's glare was demanding answer from Subhashikta who staring at her like a child caught red handed while committing any mistake.
Subhashikta had been crying her heart out in those days which resulted into her swollen eyes, but the girl had prepared a believable reason for covering up her act.
"I was my mistake, aunty. I expected him wrongly," lowering her head Subhashikta was expecting Smiriti to scold her.
"It's fine, Subha. Don't let your future buried under the barrier of this phrase of your life. You have better things to be engaged with. I am here for you, but take your own time," the touch of an affectionate hand jerked Subhashikta to find Smiriti's softened gaze at her. Smiriti advised caressing Subhashikta's head.
Subhashikta felt Smiriti as a perfect share holder of her grief as Smiriti's eyes glistened with the same shade as Subhashikta. It was seeming like Smiriti herself had gone through the same which silenced Subhashikta for everyone.
