Burned Pancakes

Bonnie woke up to the smell of smoke.
She sat up and rubbed her eyes and lifted her shirt, her wound bled through the dressing.
She sighed and sat up and walked to the landing and walked down the stairs holding the hand rail and walking into the kitchen.

"Morning, want some pancakes"
Kai laughed as he flipped pancakes
"What the hell are you doing here"
Bonnie shouted as she held her hand out
"I think we got of to a bad start"
Kai sighed
He grabbed the spatula and started to scrape under the burnt pancake and flopped it on a plate
"A bad start, you tried to kill me"
Bonnie shouted
"Look, Bon Bon.."
Kai got cut of by bonnie
"Don't ever call me that, only damond calls me that"
Bonnie said with a piercing look in her eyes
"You wanna to got home, I wanna got home, we have to trust eachother and work as a team"
Kai smiled as his bit into the pancake
"Your not capable of trust"
Bonnie sighed
"The past is the past"
Kai held is hand out, signalling bonnie to sit down.
Bonnie pulled the chair out and say down.
"Step one"
Kai said as he rummaged under the table, were he lifted his head up and pulled out a bag and shook the bag over the table.
The ascendant was in pieces.
"We have to fix this"
Kai sighed
"If I help, you promise you won't screw me over"
Bonnie sighed
Kai almost chocked on his pancake as he started laughing
"Come on bonnie"
Kai smiled

30 minuets later
"no that piece doesn't go there"
Bonnie shouted as Kai tried to fit a small part of the ascendant into the whole.

Bonnie snatched the ascendant off of Kai and put the piece in the right whole.
"Done"
Bonnie signed as she placed the ascendant on the table.
"Yay teamwork"
Kai laughed as he held his hand out for a high five"
Bonnie crossed her hands and shook her head as Kai got embarrassed and put his hand back down.

"So, out of curiosity why does this thing need Bennett blood"
Bonnie said as she raised her eyebrow
"Well, your grandmother was the one who made the prison worlds and she used her blood to seal the ascendant, so to get out we need Bennett blood"
Kai smiled
"You knew my grams"
Bonnie said with excitement in her eyes.
"Yeah, but I was so close to killing her, she stuck me in this hell"
Kai sighed
"whatever"
Bonnie sighed as she stood up and headed for the door
"Were you going"
Kai shouted
"I need some air"
Bonnie frowned
She opened the door and slammed it behind her
Kai shrugged his shoulders as he reach the other side of the table and grabbed Bonnies plate of pancakes and started to eat them
