In Felix's dream/universe (which was starting from Changbin going to the hospital in the first book) they all went into a coma but apparently woke up at different times of the 2yrs span and Felix was the last to wake up EXCEPT for IN cuz obvi he's the one that made them into a coma in Felix's universe.They all forget who Felix is but Felix knows them.
Hyunjin can only remember Seungmin partly and vise versa but in the 2yrs of them being in a coma and shit they have never met once or seen each other irl until that one day.
Chan and IN became friends via their job places being so close to each other and IN always going to Chan's shop.
Changbin doesn't recognise Felix but fell inlove with him again the same way he fell inlove with him bfe at the beginning (thinking he'll never date any of them but then falling in love with Felix at first sight) Felix obvi loves the shit out of him, but he can't rlly do anything, which makes Felix believe they were never real and starts forgetting the friendship they had in the beginning with everybody.
Lino and han are the only ones who know what's happening in the universe because it happened to them too in their own dreams, but just like the other members, they got stuck in Felix's universe and they were never able to escape, so they fled to malaysia to get away from IN and so they wont get into a coma. But they came back after a while and IN found them again and threatened them to keep quiet and not tell them about what acc happened otherwise he'll make them both into a coma too.
The IN they were hanging out with wasn't actual IN and the actual IN was in the real life world and not in the universe they were all in cuz of the fake IN in Felix's universe was already there, so they made him become like the escape route thing and they all realised that when they were all hanging out at the park or wvtr and saw the acc IN staring at them with open arms.
Minho and han told Felix to run and get out of there thinking that the fake IN wasn't listening but actually he was, so when Felix was escaping, the fake IN killed the fake simulations of the members and ran after Felix tried kidnapping him like he did with Minho and Han
the irl versions woke up because once they get killed in this world, there real form wakes up and they can either wait until Felix gets out on his own or they go in to help him escape. Innie being Felix's bff said he'll help, which was why at the end the blurry face showed itself and it was IN. However if Felix DIDN'T escape and IN still went to help him, IN would be stuck in the universe forever along with Felix.
