**I originally intended to stop writing this, however, that didn't happen.. so let's spark some character.**
After the events of the last job, the crew had gone their seperate ways. Life had taken it's toll on them, and they were almost like new people, from new names to new personalities. They'd all decided that the job wasn't for them, and they'd pursued their own seperate dreams and groups. Slowly, they drifted apart.
Until one day.
"Huh..? An email.. this seems important." Syvoid says, opening her inbox. "From Paranormic Corps. Blah blah blah shortage blah blah devastating blah blah blah return.. Do I even have time for this?"
Across the country, in New York, others were getting the same email as well. Bri and Raki.
Dear Ex Paranormal Investigators,
I hope this message finds you well. Years ago, you worked with us here at Paranormic Corps to help solve paranormal mysteries regarding hauntings. Recently, we've recieved a shortage in hunters. Reading through previous hunters, you and your group stuck out to us due to your efficiency, bond, and notes left behind.
Here at Paranormic Corps, we'd love to have you back on the team as a part time job. We could work out any hours you'd be interested in, and provide all transportation and even could work out higher pay. Please email us and get back to us ASAP.
A family recently has been devastated in South Virginia. A ghost of unknown origin or type has been identified as the cause, and we could use your return to the company.
Thank you for understanding.
-Paranormic Corps.

Over in a university in NY, both Raki and Bri were interested in meeting up and rekindling the bond with their old friends, and so was Brendon in GA, interested in seeing his sister, who was off in Harvard Law.
All of them hastily replied to the email. As long as finances were taken care of, what was the worst that could happen, right?

September 1st, 2029.
A familiar, nostalgic tinge shook Syvoid as she stepped foot onto the van, the metal clanging beneath her thick soled boots. The sound attracted the attention of a now grown Bri, Raki, Brendon, and the newly recruited Lukas, Bri's brother.
"I was starting to think you wouldn't show up." Brendon laughs, and Syvoid grins, making her way to the back of the van where everybody was catching up.
"Heh, sorry. Harvard is kinda demanding." Syvoid flips her hair sarcastically, as if to flex her status that she'd been telling everybody she'd have for so many years.
"How is Harvard anyway..? I've been thinking about it." Raki asks. He was still 18, freshly graduated as a senior. The others were 20 and 21. Syvoid slants her eyes and nods, making Raki feel slightly uncomfortable.
"I was hesitant about this at first, but seriously, New York is expensive. So not only can we catch up, but I seriously need this money." Bri sighs. "Don't get me wrong, I do have a job. But sometimes the city is kinda much.."
"Hey, I guess it's just being an adult." Syvoid brushes her thick, blonde hair behind her ear. "Yeah, couldn't be me.." Brendon shrugs. He'd graduated with a degree in culinary and a ServSafe certification, and got hired in a local restaurant.. and eventually moved for his career, making good money.
"Can we hurry? I got stuff to do tomorrow." Lukas mumbles, motioning toward the items displayed in the van for choosing. He was right, it was dark outside, and now that she thought about it, Syvoid would like to get it finished quickly. Sure, it was good, easy money.. sort of. If this entity had made light work of this family, visiting it at night didn't sound thrilling. But seeing everybody so calm, and refreshed to dip away from their busy lives to reconnect was soothing. Even if it was reconnecting through fear.
Syvoid selected a thermometer, a lantern, and a crucifix. She'd spotted new items she hadn't before. A video camera, and a gas reader. Whipping out the journal provided, she'd learnt that these items were a given-- and that they were very useful. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed her brother stocking up on an unhealthy amount of sanity donuts. It had caught Raki's eye too.
"Easy weight gain tutorial!" Raki says, not meeting his eyes. Brendon slaps his tummy, and Lukas checks him out. Weirded out, Syvoid shakes her head and signs off on a sheet provided, listing the dangers and agreements. She passes it down to Bri, who nods and continues to pass it down.
Eventually, the time comes. Syvoid sighs, and reluctantly closes the van doors, signaling to drive.
They were on their way. And while she had to admit it was nice seeing everybody again, they'd developed in such interesting ways.. but she had too.
