Birthday 🎂

Misun's POV

I woke up to my alarm. That's weird I thought I turned that off but it's fine. Today is my birthday and Seungmin told me he would spend the whole day with me and skip the whole school day. For dinner, he's taking me somewhere with the boys and I'm so excited.

Since I don't have to go to school today I stayed in my room and turned on the TV while I wait for Seungmin to get here. I'm pretty sure his practice goes from 6:00 to 9:00 so I have time to kill. I look at the time and it says 7:14. I have to wait about two hours.

Grandma walks into my room and starts yelling at me. She has never yelled at me before.

Grandma: "What are you doing?! You going to be late for school!"

"What do you mean Grandma?"

Grandma: "Don't back-talk me. Now be in the car in 10 minutes."

She started walking out of my room but I heard her say something under her breath.

Grandma: "If your parents never died I wouldn't have to do this. God Misun is so annoying."

Why is Grandma so mean today? She has never said or done anything like this before.

I quickly got ready and went downstairs. Grandma was in the kitchen talking on the phone with somebody. She stopped talking to the person on the phone and looked at me with an annoyed face.

Grandma: "Change of plans, you have to take the bus. My friend and I are going out today."

"Oh okay, have fun then."

Grandma: "Whatever, now go. My friend is going to be here any minute and I don't want you to be here."

She lightly pushed me towards the door and walked back to the kitchen. I guess I better start walking then. The bus stop is about a mile away. I put my shoes on and walk outside with my backpack.

The sky is covered in dark gloomy clouds. The sky could burst out rain any second. It gave me chills. I hope the thunder won't start. I start walking and I already know that I'm going to be late, what's the point of even walking to the bus stop when I'm too late already? Maybe I'll be lucky.

I keep walking and the rain starts to fall and then I hear a loud bang. No no no, th-thunder.

Author's POV

Misun is crouched over in the middle of a sidewalk soaking wet from the pounding rain. She is so frightened by the thunder that she can't think or move straight. Her breathing is heavy making her a little light-headed.

The thunder begins to intensify making Misun hold her head to protect her ears and tightly close her eyes. Tears begin falling. She doesn't know what to do.

A man noticed Misun and walked towards her. His walking was staggered and he smelled of alcohol. He grabbed Misun and pushed her to the ground making her fall on her bottom. Misun was super confused. The only thing she could hear was the pouring rain. Her eyes opened to see the man pulling at her clothes.

The next thing Misun knew was she was being pinned to the ground harshly making her yelp in pain.

Man: "Shut up! And stay still!"

The man proceeded to hover over Misun pinning her hands above her head. The man was too drunk to take off her clothes but the man didn't care. He was desperate.

He forced himself onto Misun.

Seungmin's POV

Practice is finally over so I left as soon as possible. I drove to Grandma's house and pulled into the driveway. I walked in to see Grandma making breakfast.
