The phone rang a few times, before someone picked up. Contrary to my expectation, a female voice answered the phone.

"Good evening, this is Sinclair's, you're speaking with Brittany." The woman said, as she answered my call.

I looked at Collin in confusion, not sure of what to say, since i expected this to be William's personal number. Although, it's kind of logical that his personal number wouldn't be on the business card.

"Uhm, hi. I spoke with Mr. Sinclair today. He gave me his business card and told me to call him. I didn't expect someone else to pick up the phone." I responded awkwardly.

"Okay, what's your name?" She asked.

"Louis Kim." I responded.

I heard her typing something on the other side of the line as I patiently waited for her answer.

"Alright, well, Mr. Sinclair is currently in a meeting, but i'll tell him you called as soon as he's done, alright?" She asked politely.

"Yes, thank you. That'd be great." I responded.

She wished me a good evening and hung up the phone. I turned to Collin and he was looking at me expectingly, waiting for me to tell him what she said. I explained the gist to him. I simplified it for him so he wouldn't constantly ask me to use simpler language.

"I called and some woman picked up the phone. 'Said that William's in a meeting, so he'll probably call back when he's done." I explained.

Collin let out a sigh and plopped down on his chair. I didn't really expect William to call back today, since i had no idea what time his meeting would end and if it ended really late, he would probably just want to go home and rest.

I grabbed my chair from Collin's desk and dragged it back to mine. I sat down and opened my laptop. I took my camera out of the bag, and connected it to my laptop. I looked through the photos i had taken and started editing some of them. The photos were mainly of nature, like plants or animals. Some were of Collin in the middle of falling or just doing something stupid. I did a photography major in college, but I haven't found a job in photography yet. To be honest, i planned on applying for a job at Future Choice, but now that i know that William own's that company, it'll feel like I didn't really earn the position if i make it. I hate it when people get things by pulling strings, especially if they don't deserve it.

While i was editing one of my photos, my phone started ringing. I checked the caller ID, but the phone number wasn't saved in my contacts. Then i remembered that it might be William, so i picked up the phone. Unfortunately, i picked up the call before i could think of a proper response, so all i said was "hey" before staying silent and hoping William would just roll with it. The silence dragged on for a while until i heard William's iconic Chuckle.

"Hey? That's all you could come up with." He asked as he tried to contain his laughter.

"Sorry, I didn't expect you to call me back so soon, so i just picked up the call half assed." I responded, slightly embarrassed.

Collin noticed my embarrassed expression and came over to me. He leaned in and held his ear to the back of my phone. I slightly pulled my head away and removed the phone from my ear to put it on speaker so Collin could listen along.

"It's alright. Actually, i was also surprised that you called so soon as well. I expected you to at least wait a few days before calling." William responded.

I continued to talk to William ad i wrote something down on a piece of paper to communicate with Collin. I wrote: "Should i tell him i know that he's the CEO of Sinclair's and Future Choice?"
