Discovery of feelings

If you're wondering where we agreed to meet up to get lunch, it was the S*bway. William was the one who suggested it. I was surprised, but in a pleasant way. I mean, i didn't expect him to choose a place like S*bway, (especially since he took me to a VIP room at an expensive bar last night), but to be honest, i prefer S*bway over that bar. I felt completely out of place there and not only that, i felt like i was WAY underdressed. In conclusion, i'm glad we're going to a regular place.

After getting ready, i went to our meet up place and saw William standing in the parking lot, leaning against his car while looking at his phone. As soon as he spotted me, his lips curled up into a sweet smile and he greeted me.

To be completely honest with you, our lunch wasn't really anything special. We ordered our sandwiches, sat down and talked for a bit. I found out William is more of a cat person than a dog person. He even has a Maine coon cat named Mystique and she's adorable. He showed me pictures and it seems like he treats her almost too well.

William also told me that he kind of used to be a bit of a delinquent back in his high school days. Skipping class, picking fights, stealing the key to the rooftop during breaks, faking test scores... the list goes on and on. He said that the only reason he never got seriously punished was because his parents donated a lot of money to the school every year and the principal was afraid of William's dad, since he had a lot of influence.

After our date, we walked outside and William insisted on giving me a ride home. I accepted, considering i had been so stubborn about going on my own this morning, so got in his car.

I was peering out the car window, when i noticed William took a wrong turn. I thought he might be planning to take a different route to my apartment, so i didn't panic, but then William started going a completely different way. It's not like i was afraid that William was kidnapping me, but it's always good to be cautious.

So, i turned to William and asked: "uhm, not to sound suspicious of you, but do you know where you're going?"

William chuckled at my question and answered calmly. "Don't worry, i know where i'm going. Like i said, i have a lot of time on my hands today, so i thought i'd take you somewhere fun."

Somewhere fun huh? Well, my anxiety wasn't having a lot of fun, but i was willing to give this the benefit of the doubt, for the sake of our potential relationship.

Once we finally arrived at our destination, i stepped out of the car and looked at the huge white and blue building in front of us. William had taken me to the aquarium. At that moment, William stepped out of the car as well and walked toward me.

"I hope you like sea creatures. It's nothing special, but i read online that the aquarium is a popular date spot, so i hope you like it." William explained himself, with a bashful grin.

Oh my god... was he seriously embarrassed? This is huge! I thought someone like him couldn't get embarrassed. Not only that, he said he read about it online, which means he did research for our date. I know i wasn't supposed to read too much in between the lines here, but i couldn't help it. I suddenly felt very confident and happy.

"Don't worry, i love it." I said, reassuring him whit a bright smile. I took his arm to pull him along, but also to feel his muscles. What can i say? I am only human. We entered the aquarium and received a map from one of the employees.

As we made our way to the first animals, i got a call. I checked my phone to see who it was and saw that the person who was calling me, was Collin! Shoot! I forgot to tell him i'd was going on another date with William since he wasn't at home.

William looked back at me, wondering why i was standing still. I quickly told him that i had to pick up a call and answered my phone.

"WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU!?" I heard Collin say panicked as soon as i picked up the phone.

"I'm... out..." i answered. Honestly, i have no idea why i didn't just tell him i was on a date with William right away. It's not like Collin disapproved of our relationship. Actually, he was the only person who knew and he was probably our biggest fan.

"Out where? You don't go out. You hate going out, because you hate people." Collin said, seeing through my dumb and unnecessary excuse.

"Right, sorry. I'm on a date with William." I answered truthfully.

Collin and i went back and forth a few more times, when i suddenly felt William hold my free hand. I flinched and my sentence slurred, causing Collin ti get worried. I quickly said goodbye to Collin, before hanging up.

After i hung up the call and put my phone in my pocket, i looked at William, who was grinning at me.

"So you're not a big people fan, huh?" William asked with a snicker.

I sighed. "Yeah, not really. Guess you heard my roommate?" I mean, how else did he know?

"Yeah, well, he was yelling so loud that any bystander could've heard him." William responded. He then spoke again: "But now that you're off the phone, could i have your undivided attention? Or is that too much to ask~?"

God, i just knew my face was on fire at that point. I bet people were ready to call the fire department or something. But who says THAT out of the blue!? He totally caught me off guard! If I didn't like him, i would've ran away in embarrassment.

Hold on... i "like" him? Do i? No way... i had just met him like yesterday. That's just weird. If i told Collin about this, he'd tell me that that's how people get kidnapped. But... for some reason, it didn't feel like a lie... was this because William was my soulmate? Like... soulmate magic or whatever? Does this mean that William felt the same way about me?

I looked up at him, to see if i could find any signs of his feelings for me and it was right there. Not just in his eyes, or his lips. Not just his smirky grin that he was giving me, while his hand trembled, as if he was afraid i would react badly to his words. I could see it all. He was just like me... we both didn't want to make any mistakes with each other and we both wanted to be liked by the other. At that moment i eased sure of it. William and i, had feelings for each other.

I didn't say anything to him. I just looked up at him again, with a sweet smile. This caused his smirked to falter and i noticed his cheeks growing pink again. His confident demeanor changed to a more bashful one. Something i didn't expect of him.

This time, i was the one who smirked. "You like me~" i said to tease him.

William sighed and scratched the back of his neck. "Would it really be a problem if i did?" He asked sort of shyly, as he looked at me slightly nervous, waiting for my answer.

"No, it's not a problem. Because i just so happen to like you too." I said with another smile.

My words made William smile as well and for a moment, i felt the world and the people around us fade away. It was like we were the only two people in the universe. God... I can't believe that before meeting William, i was completely ready to give up on love, but now... now, i don't want anything more in this world than to be with him.
