Woodsboro Hospital
After the police arrived at the Becker residence, the ambulance took Stacey to the hospital, fearing she might have a concussion. The doctors were able to revive her. Even though the killer didn't actively try to kill her, she was knocked unconscious and suffered a head trauma. All in all, she was luckier than Casey and Steve.
Stacey's green eyes flutter and she is able to see her mother hovering over her. "Honey?" Her voice is a soft whisper. The doctor said Stacey might experience confusion. "You're awake!" Stacey's mother is a very attractive woman with long blonde hair similar to her daughter and warm hazel eyes. She is a very powerful attorney.
"Where am I?" Stacey asks as she tries to get into a sitting position. "How's Casey? Did she escape?" The girl asks, anxious for an answer.
Ellen Hastings shakes her head and squeezes her daughter's hand. "Honey, unfortunately Casey didn't make it."
Stacey's green eyes widen and she tries hard not to cry. "Did the police catch who did it?"
"No, but Sheriff Burke is outside waiting to talk to you." Her mother explains. "Do you feel strong enough to give your statement?" Stacey nods and Ellen opens the door. "Sheriff Burke, she's awake."
Two men in uniform enter the hospital room and greet Stacey. The sheriff is bigger in size and, obviously, has had too many junk food since starting the job. He's a typical small town cop. Deputy Riley, or Dewey, is young and has a boyish charm, despite being completely clueless half the time. "Miss Hastings, I'm so sorry about last night and I'm sure you're still reeling from the trauma..."
"Just ask me anything. I want you to catch that son of a bitch as quickly as possible." Stacey answers. "Mom, do you mind waiting outside?" She asks and her mother nods, leaving the teen alone with the police.
"Miss Hastings, what were you doing at Miss Becker's house?" The sheriff asks.
Stacey takes a deep breath. "It was saturday and Casey and I always have movie nights on saturday."
Dewey looks at Stacey and gives her a half-smile. "Stacey, it is a known fact that you and Miss Becker were not on speaking terms."
"We had our issues cause she dated my boyfriend, Stu, but we made up at the beginning of the school year." Stacey explains. "She was dating Steve and they seemed like a cute couple. Casey and I have been best friends since freshman year."
"What happened after you arrived?" The sheriff keeps questioning.
"Casey put popcorn on the stove and I decided to take over the cooking cause she was awful." Stacey smiles at that memory. "She always burnt the popcorn to the point you'd get food poisoning from it." She looks at Dewey. "And then someone called. We didn't know who it was but he was creepy. At first I thought it was a prank but then the guy started playing this game and... and Steve was tied to a chair and gagged." Her eyes fill with tears. "There was blood and his insides were out." She starts crying at the image.
Dewey puts his arm around her. "It's okay, Stacey." He hands a glass of water. "What happened then?"
Stacey takes a big gulp of water and puts the cup down. "He asked Casey questions about horror movies. Only Casey could answer the questions or he would kill Steve."
"Why only Casey?" Dewey asks, confused.
"I don't know. He said that Casey was the one he wanted and that I could leave." Stacey starts fidgeting. "Casey got one answer wrong and he killed Steve. After that, he asked Casey to guess where he was. That's when I made my way to the door and got attacked." She explains.
