this is the chapter right before hell breaks loose.

Y/n POV

I'm still trying to forget the fact that Todoroki probably heard and saw me sniffing him.

But whatever. It's 12:50 PM right now, which means It's time for Hero Basic Training!!!

"For today's hero basic training..."

The sun is shining out from the window and is gently warming my cheeks. There are light fluffy white clouds that only sparsely cover the impossibly blue sky. I shaved yesterday so I'm really, really smooth and my hair isn't greasy. And to top it all off, since we had combat training yesterday we can't have it today.

I'm absolutely, positively happy right now.

I'm bouncing in my seat in anticipation for what our training will be on today.

"It's turned into a class with three instructors, All Might and me, and one more person."

The class gasps in surpise.

"Who could it be?" Uraraka mouths to me across the room.

I shrug and pull the sigma face. She laughs and looks away.

"EXCUSE ME! What will we be doing?" Sero yells out.

Suddenly, Aizawa sensei pulls out a card from nowhere with the words 'RESCUE' printed in enthusiastic blue writing.

"Disasters, shipwrecks, and everything in between. It's rescue training."

YES. YES. YEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

I can see a couple of my classmates frown in hesitation, BUT NOT ME BOZOS!

THIS IS MY FORTE NOW!

I'M EXTREMELY GOOD AT THIS TYPA STUFF.

At the hospital, I was able to tag along with a couple of first responders and paramedics a couple of times. 

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA YES.

I'm grinning super, super wide, and i can see who's staring at me this time: Todoroki.

But I won't let thoughts of him steal this happy spotlight that's shining on me right now. Why?

BECAUSE THIS IS MY TIME TO SHINE!

"My arms are ready to rumble!" I can hear Kirishima enthusiastically say.

I can hear Momo's pretty laugh next to me. "Y/n you look really excited."

I turn to her and give her my biggest grin. "Yes I am."

"Hey, I'm not done." Aizawa's voice cuts me out of my excited mutterings.

"You can decide if you want to wear your costume or not this time. Because there are probably costumes that limit your abilities too." He clicks a button and the costumes draws push out from the walls.

"The training will take place off-campus, so we're taking a bus. That is all. Start getting ready."

There is no way I'm going there without my costume. I need those cooling ice bands. Without them I'll heat up wayy to quickly.

"Y/n! Are you wearing your costume?" Uraraka places her hands on my shoulders and smiles sweetly. 

"Yes. Girlie, I'm a lost cause without my cooling bands." She smiles and laughs. "That's good. I didn't want to be the only one wearing mine."

We're all lined up outside the school. 

I'm so excited. I love going to new places and seeing all the scenery whizz by. I probably look like a kid in a candy store right now. Or, I probably just look like a Y/n when there's good weather.
