The swirling motion of progress was always satisfying to the Father because in his good works he receives his self-esteem. If a being was not capable of competent work, life would hold no purpose. The Father set forth his telepathic orders as the Good Army did his bidding to the images that they received in their minds. They ask no questions. There is no debate. Only action. Pure and predictable action that will soon fulfill years of scientific research and study. Action that will hopefully change the progress of his species and definitely the life of his subjects.
The Good Army was proficient at preparing the equipment on the craft. Making sure that no amount of time would be wasted in performing unnecessary actions. Their thoughts worked individually or could be combined as one, producing more advanced biological capabilities.
You would view the Good Army as the most proficient set of computerized drones ever produced. The Father sees them as his children. For all life was created out of his hands and the ones that came before him. The Good Army always came in sets of threes. Three minds that when combined with the Father are capable of doing all of their good works in and out of the material realm.

The Father hears the rustling of soft blue fibers as the small children move across the ship, both controlling its actions in space and processing all equipment on board. They didn't so much as walk on the surface of the floor as they did glide across it. Technology that would appear as magic to some creatures but enabled their small and whispey bodies to exert a mechanical advantage.
We never sleep. Sleep is an unnecessary burden removed long ago. There will never be distraction. Only the mission. This mission was clear, and it involved a young woman the Father has been following since birth.
Time is relevant to the Father in only those things that he cannot instruct. Mastery of the physical sciences has come to their species over the millennia, but he must coordinate his thoughts with his children, due to the mechanical restrictions that life forms living in lower forms of physical existence. We could bore you with these physics, but we don't believe in causing mental discomfort to others, where avoidable.
"We are done. We are ready. We remain as one Father. All temporal equipment is sufficient to complete the experiments."
The Father moves swiftly to examine his medical equipment establishing a mental image of the procedure to come. The human anatomy was simple enough to master, albeit archaic in design. The next few cycles will lay rest to his work, which remains oddly satisfying. He brings up an image of earth and the sequence of navigational parameters that will instruct the children to materialize the craft into the proper position.

The ship moves silently, under control, nestled into the night sky above the mountains waiting for its next set of instructions.
If he breathed or required oxygen, which the Father does not, it would be at this time where he would pause, catch his breath, and ready himself to execute his plan.
