The Binary Cluster

This is the story of how a whole universe was destroyed. This is the story of how civilization fell. This is a story of extinction. This is a story of basic 1's and 0's enveloping our world. This is the story of the Binary Cluster.

It all began on Harry's lawn. A single numerical 1. Just there. Floating above the lawn in midair. A single gray one. When Harry first saw it he called to his wife Penelope, "Hey look here!"

"What now, Harry?" She said annoyed by her husband

"Look! A floating 1!" He said.

"Well I'll be. What in the world is that thing?" She said

"I dont have the faintest Idea," He said.

He then reached out to touch the one but he couldn't. His hand passed right through it. Infact when touching it he could swear he saw his hand disappear. The two, realizing how strange this occurrence was, called all their friends to observe the mysterious 1. Their friends would observe it and have the same reaction as Harry and Penelope, one of awe and curiosity with a slight tinge of fear.

The next day a 0 appeared. "Honey! It's getting bigger!" Harry said, "there's a 0 now!"

Then they called all their friends again and yet again they all came over to observe the strange occurrence of the 0 next to the one. They had the same reactions as the day poor but now they cared a bit less it seemed.

The next day, it doubled in size. Everyone yet again gave the same reactions only caring even less now. They all would just walk up. Look at it for no more than a mere second, then leave.

The next day the amount did not seem to increase. It stayed stagnant. "What a relief! I am quite glad for that to be over now." Penelope said.

However, later in the day they got a call from their friend Gary, "It's in my yard now!" He said.

Everyone yet again rushed over to see the 1s and 0s of Gary's lawn. This time it was now an even bigger cluster of 1s and s more than the day before. The interest in the town's folk grew due to the new development with it appearing in two lawns now.

The next day not only did both Henry's and Gary's clusters double in size, ten more clusters appeared throughout the small town. You couldn't go more than ten feet before seeing one of the clusters.

There was so much now that reporters and tourists now came to the town to see the mysterious clusters of 1's and 0's. Each day after that the clusters doubled in size but there were more clusters popping up more than ever.

ON the tenth day, houses were lost. Completely swallowed by the 1's and 0's, and so were to the people in the houses. Now people were scared of the clusters, worried for their lives.

On this day there was a city hall meeting to discuss what to do with the cluster.They sadly could not figure out any way to save themselves. They all accepted that they were all to be consumed.

The following week chaos ensued. People, now all around the world due to the cluster expanding its reach went into a panic. The world was in peril. At Least for the first week. After the week everyone accepted their ultimate fate. Why? Well because: They were going to die no matter what, they lost most of what they had, and they lost most of who they loved. THey lost purpose.

Scientists coined the strange occurrence as a "Binary Cluster" due to binary being also a cluster of 1s and 0s ment for a computer. THey desperately tried to look for a solution. THey would make a gun to try and seal it. They tried to throw a chemical potion into it but none of it was to avail.

The militaries of the world banned together and tried to defeat it. They threw everything they got at it. They threw knives, shot bullets, threw grenades, missiles, and even launched nukes onto it. Nothing was working.d

The days went on with the 1's and 0's growing more and more, swallowing more and more. People now we're just accepting their cruel fates. Conversations became dry with only simple, "hellos" and "goodbyes."

At this time the world was at least 90% completely enveloped by the binary cluster. One by one people were picked off one at a time. Some now take this as an opportunity to live life to the fullest while others try to end it as soon as possible. They would choose to jump into the cluster. Too much pain was beargin on their shoulders.

Some tried to commit some murder since now they could easily get away with it. It is entirely possible that more people were killed by each other than by the cluster of deaths growing day by day.

Then came the final day. 99% of the world was now covered and only ten remained. As they all sat gathered around a campfire singing songs, telling stories, and saying their goodbyes.

They ended it all by singing the final song. It was christmas that day so they sang O christmas tree. As they sang the binary cluster enveloped them completely, swallowing its final victims whole.

No one quite knows how the Binary cluster came to be. But some say that it came out of the rage of mother nature herself. A nature long neglected by the technology of today. Channeling the rage into that cluster. Man was then killed by its most favorite creation. Others say the universe simply broke down. Tore itself apart, going into the fundamentals. The basic code was all that was left. However, one thing is certain when it comes to this tragedy, The world became nothing but the 1's and 0's of the Binary Cluster. The End...
