I sat in the living room with Charlie he woke up 8 min ago or something I don't know we were both watching barney. (I'm so fucking tired but I'll keep writing😀). I heard the door bell so I got up grabbed my bag and told mom bye. I opened the door and hugged my dad "hey dad" I said happily "hey kiddo, u ready?" he asked while pulling away I nodded and we got into the car and drove away.
At the Fort Peck Lacke, Montana:
We arrived at the lake, I got out of the car and my attention was taken aback when I saw Billy I run up to him and hugged him "hi Billy" he was surprised to see me but still hugged me back and spun me around while I laughed "hey n/n (Nick name),I didn't know you were coming today nice to see you here" he smiled. Billy always was like a brother figure to me a big brother I never had. After our meeting Dad came up to us and smiled "Dr. Grant." Billy said "Mr. Brennan" my dad said back and they started chatting

Billy brought us into a tent, we sat down as Billy started explaining some weird shit I didn't really understand "meet the future of paleontology. It's a rapid prototyper. I enter in the scan data from the raptor's skull. The computer breaks it down into thousands of slices." he looked at the 3d mashine and kept explaining. "then this thing sculpts it, one layer at a time." he stopped for a second "it's done"
he opened the mashine and took out something that looked like a bone, he showed it to us "I give you the resonating chamber of a velociraptor."he said proudly and my dad smiled" listen to this "he said and blowed into the chamber making a hissing sound of a velociraptor
as I heard it I froze in place and zooned out remembering the incident and how one almost killed me I was so lucky that I got out there alive, not everyone did....
" Y/n?, y/n?, y/n?," my dad shook me back to reality "y/n, are you okay?" he asked worried "oh y-yeah I'm alright, sry" I stuttered and smiled at him he look at me for a second but didn't say anything then turned back to Billy, he smiled and took the chamber out of Billy's Handy so he can take a closer look at it.
"wow. This is brilliant, Billy. Really, it is." he said impressed. "yeah it really is" I added Billy just smiled at us "sad to say, it's just a little bit late." my dad said sadly and I heard footsteps approaching us
"Dr. Grant?" a deep voice said behind me. "Paul kirby. Kirby enterprises. He introduced himself" uh my card "he handed the card to my dad" how you doing, Billy? "he asked and they both went outside
" who's this? "I askd Billy " Mr. Kirby"he just said shrugging "oh wow well I got that" I said sassy and sarcastic (yk what I mean )while following them outside.
I saw my dad looking at the card kinda suspicious "what can I do for you, Mr. Kirby?"he asked " well, um, first thing, I'm a great admirer of yours, and I have a proposition I'd like to discuss with you. Would you have dinner with my wife and me this evening? It'll be our treat. "
my dad looked up from the card looked at Mr. Kirby, at me and than at him again" well, that be great, but I'm tired. I've been traveling. Maybe some other time and I'd like to spend some more time with my daughter "he said while putting his arm on my shoulder.
"believe me, this will be worth your while." Mr. Kirby said but got interrupted "we'd love to." Billy said behind him "oh, terrific that's the spirit. Good. This evening then." he smiled then looked at me for a second and back at Alan "oh. Yeah, eh you daughter can come too of course" he smiled but said it kinda hesitantly like he didn't want me there but wantet that my dad came so he needed to say it but I didn't care he was kinda weird anyways but maybe he was just in hurry I thought to myself
The he finally left and I looked at dad but he just shrugged.
After a few hours we drove back home.
A/N Hello guys sry this chapter is kinda short too but I'm sooooooo tired it's 03:50 pm my eyes are closing I had to rewrite so many thing bc my brain kinda fell asleep but I was still tipping yk what I mean? and I jsut had 2 h of sleep today, anyways
