The beginning

Lilith Petrova, a beautiful Bulgarian woman. Born on October 20th, 1300. She was destined to a fate of sorrow. 

She was a descendant of Tatia, a doppelganger. Was she a doppelganger? No. Klaus mikealson had been searching for a new doppelganger for hundreds of years but he found Lilith in 1317, he found out she was a descendant of Tatia so he figured she may work for the sacrifice, but he ended up getting hurt in the process of it all. He found her, charmed her, got close to her, and accidentally fell in love with her. But he had to choose between her and breaking the curse, he chose to break the curse. As soon as she found out she fled, she ran like hell. The betrayal broke her, not mention she had a son. She didn't want to leave him behind... But what choice did she have? He would have to run with her for the rest of her life and she didn't want that fate for him, she wanted him to have a healthy happy normal life. The day she fled she dropped her son on her father's doorstep and left, her father was a good man who would take care of her son the way she would have. The father wasn't in the picture, considering he was just a poor man she hooked up with one night. She lived in England until 1863 when she decided to move to mystic falls, not knowing Katherine was there... Did i forget to mention Katherine is her great great granddaughter, Lilith's son was Katherines great great grandfather. Lilith knew it was better to never come back to Bulgaria because klaus could find out and come and get her, little did she know he was in England for a period of time, and they never crossed paths. Possibly he knew she was there, but he was too busy with finding Katherine to even consider trying to reconcile. Klaus's betrayal broke her for so long, she never ever was willing to love another man until she met the Salvatore's in 1864. Damon Salvatore was so charming and kind, but he was in love with Katherine, so she gave up and kept to herself, but she stayed in mystic falls. Her and Katherine never crossed paths, she knew Katherine was there though, but she wasn't just going to talk to her, there would be so many questions, and not to mention the fact that Lilith knew Katherine was a vampire and she didn't want to risk exposing Katherine and herself. She stayed in mystic falls, she traveled a bit, but she never moved away, just kind of hid until Stefan and Damon left town, she thought it was for good but then she saw Damon one day in 2009...

If you're wondering, no she didn't get locked in the tomb, and also when she knew Stefan and Damon were back in town she would travel, because she usually had some sort of heads up, but she wasn't given a heads up that time, that time being when one her friends Elena gilbert mention the new guy... Stefan Salvatore.

Thats when this story really begins.
