iv. prologue

READ THIS BEFORE STARTING PROLOGUE:

spoils her back story but nothing that isn't already going to be said in the book. doesn't spoil "current" times, which are what the storyline follows along. in the story, she starts in fifth year (15-16yrs old), but this prologue basically summarises her backstory from 3yrs old to about fourth year. read if you'd like!

(note: this won't be extensively covered throughout the story so if u wanna know you probably should read it now, or you can come back to it later! it was also written really quickly because i wanted to get to writing the main story, which is more exciting than this, trust me lol)

Navy, three years old, pure blood, was taken from her parents who were later paid for their silence by the Ministry Of Magic. She was brought to the Department of Mysteries and went through a two year experiment period where she was unconscious and drugged for the whole of those two years along with nine other children. They were tortured, tested on and then wiped of those memories and basically became guinea pigs for the Unspeakables to test out theories on.

At five, she was selected as the best candidate to undergo the full experiment. The other nine children were killed. She had one year "recovery" where she spent rehomed living a good life with volunteer parents while the MOM planned out the experiment.

Now six years old, she was drugged and taken back to the Department of Mysteries and went through four years of experiments, trials & errors and testing to create a witch where they did not need a wand - all the power came from the mind. After those four years, it seemed to be going well and she was showing much enhanced intelligence for a 10yr old and she was let back to the volunteer family for one year of being watched and recorded on whether her power would show.

She immediately showed immense powers and went almost insane with destruction from her power, killing a young boy on the street by accident. The Unspeakables were very pleased with her "progress". She could twist things in her mind, get into people's head and break things just by thinking of them. She was abused every time she let the power get the better of her and became very withdrawn, yet taught herself to control her powers behind the volunteer family's backs.

When she turned eleven, she was put into Hogwarts with no other knowledge of the wizarding world other than her childhood spent in the testing labs of the MOM. During the sorting, the sorting hat became extremely confused and crazy from all the things inside her head, and couldn't handle it. It kept spitting out all the houses over and over before seemingly going to sleep. She made history by being the first person to not have a Hogwarts house, and was allowed to stay and make friends with whichever houses she pleased. She was bullied for being a weirdo and a freak, but befriended Harry, Ron & Hermione and fellow Gryffindors, as well as Draco, Mattheo & the Slytherins and had "sleepovers" with whoever she wanted to. She was incredibly talented and smart and picked up knowledge and tricks ASAP.

She began struggling with her power during 2nd year and ended up opening the Chamber Of Secrets and controlling the snake. She was only 12 and relapsed into power crazy like when she was 10 and almost killing Ginny, however Harry got her into her senses and together they defeated the basilisk and saved Ginny.

She was taken back to the MOM Department of Mysteries and got her DNA modified so she wouldn't go power crazy again, and while unconscious and undergoing the modification, the chief of her experiment was murdered by the Death Eaters and stolen by Voldemorts followers to Malfoy Manor. By this time, she was supposed to be in 3rd year holiday break and Draco was back home, along with Mattheo Riddle who was there for his father (vodly mouldy). Seeing their old friend, they tried to save her. They were shut down and hurt by Voldemort and horrified to learn that Voldemort and the death eaters had made plans to make her the best weapon they had yet. She was let back into Hogwarts in fourth year with a wiped memory and the fake idea of having gone on a trial to a Durmstrang for two years because she was too smart for Hogwarts, yet she missed her friends and wanted to go back. Draco & Mattheo were instructed to basically never leave her side and keep an eye on her and her powers.

She quickly became best friends with Draco and Mattheo, who had both developed feelings for her. She didn't really realise how into her they were, and while loving them like brothers grew annoyed how they tailed her everywhere. She eventually gave up on being pissed at them and let them follow her, kind of loving the attention, yet confused of her feelings towards them both.

Before she was kidnapped by the death eaters, the DNA modification went well and she was now in total control of her powers, which had grown over the years. She immediately became Hogwarts best and most powerful student in history, topping Dumbledore and Tom Riddle. She was very happy and had many friends, and although the houses were rivals, everyone welcomed her back and wanted to be her friend, and some even trying to win her over as her boyfriend.

She swept through fourth year like a breeze, passing all end of year exams and staying with Harry & Hermione & Ron at the Burrow for the holidays.

Now she is back and better than ever, ready to start fifth year.
