Friday. Everyone loves Friday, right? Considering I'm on study leave at school and only have to go in for exams, this should be great. Lie in, wake up at noon, wander round the house for a while then hang out with friends? Sounds good. Only if..
However, my day went completely different to this.
I wake up to the sound of my alarm screaming at me. 8:00 am. I'm not exactly a morning person, so having to wake up at this time is a big no no for me. You see, today is the day I start my running and I haven't ran in God knows how long, so I may be a little rusty. My mom is rushing around trying to get my younger siblings ready for school while I drag my self out of bed. I get up and sleepily walk to the bathroom for my morning pee. Don't judge, you know you all do the same when you wake up!
I wash my hands and walk back to my room, grabbing everything I need to get ready. I pick up my shorts, top, trainers and hair brush and make me way back to the bathroom. I wash my face, brush my teeth and get changed into my running clothes. I skip downstairs and grab Bailey's collar and lead. Bailey's my dog, he's a border collie and my best friend. If you ever get a dog I advise you to get a collie, they're so smart and loyal and can be trained for any type of showing.
Off track. Anyway, I bid my goodbyes to everyone in the house and set off walking with Bailey. We speed walk to the lake as our warm up. As we arrive, we take off into a fast jog, we do a full lap of the lake at this speed and slow down to a steadier pace, at which we do another lap. We walk for a small while as Bailey runs into the water to cool down. Why did I decide to run outside in summer? We do three more laps at a fairly steady pace and I decide to sprint home. Definitely time for a shower. Ew.
"You stink," is what I hear as I walk through the door. I turn in time to catch a towel my mom throws at me. "Shower." is all she says as she walks off laughing. How sweet.
I take a quick shower and change into some pajama sorts and a spaghetti strap vest. I'm not normally this lazy, I just have an exam later and don't fancy getting in my uniform just yet. I mean it's only ten and the exam starts at half one.
I hang around the house, watching TV until it's tome to get ready. As I'm brushing my hair I get a text from Sadie, my best friend. Well sort of, it's a long story. We fell out for about five months and made up a few weeks back: she's still my best friend but it just won't ever be the same.
Sadie- Are you ready? Hurry up and get to my house, cba walking alone.
I roll my eyes. Typical Sadie.
Me- And here's me thinking you just wanted to see me.
Sadie- Ew no. You mad? Just hurry up, I want a selfie before we leave, its my last exam today, remember?
Me- Yeah whatever. On my way pal.
I throw my phone on to my bed and start walking to Sadie's house. The exam was a breeze. Physics sucks but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
"Hey, you coming out now? We can walk to your house so you can change then to mine and go out with everyone?" Sadie asks.
"Yeah, sure." I nod. "Who's going to be there?"
"Everyone." She says seriously. "There's me, you, Haily, Dianne, June, Kayla, Elisa, Jakob, Samson, Saul, Thoma-" I cut her off my placing my hand over her mouth.
"I get it" I say as she licks my hand. I pull back in disgust. "You dirty bitch."
She smiles sweetly and skips down the road towards my house. I don't even know what planet she's from. Freak.
