It was the beginning of break. The joy of my day. I sat at a bench near the oak tree in the courtyard. It was the best spot to read or write. Today I planned on only reading, so I picked up the book I'm about to finish and started reading. Only few moments later I heard a familiar voice, stopping my reading. "Now there's a familiar face. It's nice to see you again." It was him.

"Hey there, Mack. Its also nice to see you again too." I said with a delightful grin.
"Whatcha doing?"
"Oh, just reading."
"Well that sounds great. May I sit next to you?"
"Sure." I moved my bags out of the way. He sits down and we don't talk for a bit. Then he breaks the ice.
"Why would someone like you, ever talk with a guy like me?" He said in a nervous yet bold tone.

I sat there next to her. Waiting for a response. Then she smiled, staring in front of her. My heart skipped a beat. Still, she said nothing.
"Because..." she said, looking at me, then stared back in front of her, making me skip a beat once more.
"Well, what does it take to... to get a date with this girl?" Oh smooth Mack, smooth. She smiled. I looked in front of me, waiting for an answer.

"Heh, I don't know. What does this boy think it takes?" I look back to her smiling at me, tilting her head to left.
"Well, this boy thinks it will take more than just a few flirts."
"Maybe, maybe not." she says with a quick cute grin. "Maybe you just need to get to know her more."
"Maybe I will."
She gets up, and stands in front of me. Leaning for my face. She stops and looks at me for a moment. "Good." She gives me a little wink and a gorgeous smile worth dying for, and walks away with rush and a strut with each step. Before I could say one single word, the bell had rang.

With the sound of ringing and the september breeze in the air, I walk from the courtyard and off to third period. "Heh." I said laughing."I love teasing guys, it's hilarious." I never done it before. Well I least got a laugh out of that. It doesn't matter anyway. If he gets to know me better, we'll probably just be friends, or strangers, just like the other guys. He won't like the real me, he only seen me nice. Well at least its nice to have a cute friend. I walk to third period, but cant help to think about him.
