Kate Bishop was not one to back down from a challenge, especially when it came to saving someone's life. The morning sun had barely started to paint the sky with shades of orange and pink when she found herself at Aurelia's doorstep.
She was armed with a plan and a determination that refused to be swayed.
Aurelia, however, was less than pleased to see her uninvited guest so early in the morning. She opened the door with a tired frown, her hair disheveled and her eyes heavy with sleep.
"Kate, what are you doing here?"
Kate greeted her with a bright smile that betrayed none of the exhaustion from the previous night's rooftop encounter. "Good morning, sleepyhead! I've got a whole day planned for us."
Aurelia's reluctance was palpable. She was not ready for the intrusion into her carefully guarded world. "Kate, I appreciate your concern, but I really don't—"
Kate cut her off, not allowing her to finish. "Nope, no excuses today. We're going to spend the day together, and I'm not taking no for an answer."
With a determined stride, Kate stepped inside Aurelia's apartment, leaving her no choice but to follow. She had a backpack slung over her shoulder, filled with supplies and a detailed itinerary for the day.
