The city was a different beast at night, its chaotic energy replaced by a tranquil hum that resonated through the streets. Kate Bishop felt unusually peaceful and decided to take a leisurely stroll, enjoying the cool breeze and the soft glow of streetlights.

It was on nights like these that she found solace in the anonymity of the bustling city.

As Kate wandered through the labyrinthine streets, lost in thought, she never anticipated that fate would play its hand once more. A sudden collision interrupted her reverie, and she stumbled backward, steadying herself.

Aurelia, the demigod who had recently become an unexpected friend, stood before her, her eyes wide with surprise. A soft chuckle escaped Kate's lips as she met Aurelia's gaze.

"We really need to stop meeting like this, Aurelia," she joked.

Aurelia couldn't help but smile, though it was tinged with a hint of urgency.

"I'm starting to think the universe is trying to tell us something," she replied, her voice carrying a touch of amusement.

Kate's eyes, ever observant, quickly scanned Aurelia who appeared to be in a hurry, her breath slightly ragged. She noticed something troubling — a fresh cut on Aurelia's arm, seeping blood that stained her sleeve.

Concern etched across her face, Kate reached out to touch Aurelia's arm gently. "Hey, are you okay? You're bleeding."

Aurelia quickly withdrew her arm, her smile fading as she tried to hide the cut she'd received from fighting a monster minutes ago from Kate's view.

"I'm fine, really," she assured, her tone slightly too hasty. "Just a small accident. Nothing serious."

The demigod glanced around, her gaze searching for an escape route.

"I really need to go," she said abruptly, her gaze flicking back to Kate. "It was nice running into you again. Bye."

Before Kate could say anything else, Aurelia slipped away into the crowd, her hurried footsteps carrying her into the darkness. Kate watched her vanish into the night, a nagging feeling of concern lingering in her chest.

She knew there was more to Aurelia than met the eye, and this another chance encounter was beginning to feel like more than mere coincidence. Kate couldn't help but wonder about the enigmatic woman she had met twice now.

It was clear that Aurelia was carrying secrets and burdens, and Kate couldn't shake the feeling that she might be the one to help her carry them. She was determined to uncover the mysteries surrounding her.
