Very short stories based on writing prompts that I've found and really enjoyed writing so I thought I'd compile them together to share. Each "chapter" is really just a stand-alone short story.
To be on the safe side: Rated PG overall with some PG-13...

No one should wield that kind of power with just their voice, a whisper said. More of the same sentiment followed, rippling through the observing crowd.
She's overpowered; it's unnatural.
She's dangerous.
Can't trust her.
She deserves what's coming for her.
The room was silent as the prisoner walked through the doors, guards on either side of her, their arms looped through hers while they practically dragged her down the carpet in front of them. The whispers continued though, filling the thoughts of everyone present like overlapping audible conversation.
The guards leading the young prisoner stood at straight, stark attention when they reached the end of the walkway. They shoved the prisoner forward, forcing her to kneel down. The restraints around her face–around her mouth specifically–dug into her skin as a guard's hand on the back of her neck forced her to keep her head bowed.
"Rise," a commanding voice said, coming from in front of the prisoner. One of the guards around her kicked her back hard enough to send a jolt of pain up her spine. She didn't cry out though, as the restraints–practically an animal muzzle–kept her lips locked tight, pressed against each other so hard her teeth and jaw ached. She rose from her kneeling position, legs shaking and unstable as she regained her balance tentatively. Her hands were chained together in front of her, the manacles just as suffocating as the muzzle.
"What do you have to say for yourself?" the voice asked. The prisoner lifted her head to meet the eyes of the woman sitting on the ornate throne a few feet away.
I did what I had to do, the prisoner projected. I do not regret my actions.
"No?" The woman pursed her lips in thought. "Not even when those actions were the direct cause of over a thousand deaths?"
No. Not even then.
"Tsk. You should know better by now." The woman smiled, though the expression was anything but kind. "I won't play this game forever, do you know that? One day, you will be brought in here by my guards, and I will decide it is the last time we do this."
I look forward to that day. the prisoner said without hesitation.
"We shall see." The woman looked down at her guards, her lips a thin line. "What has she done this time?"
"Besides being the cause of a series of events that killed thousands in a fiery inferno, the silent prisoner has also recently been discovered at numerous sites of crime."

A/N lol whoops I think I started writing this with more of an ending in mind but didn't get that far, so this is all that's written in the document. Oh well. It's a cliffhanger!
