Very short stories based on writing prompts that I've found and really enjoyed writing so I thought I'd compile them together to share. Each "chapter" is really just a stand-alone short story.

"Don't let him take this from you," Ella said. "You are so much more than he ever let you believe about yourself. Prove him wrong. Prove yourself right. Do what is best for you and let yourself leave him behind with no regrets because you are ready to move on and start doing what's best for *you* not him."
She smiled encouragingly at the girl before her, whose cheeks were wet with tears running down her face and dripping from her chin. "Don't let him win."
Ella saw a renewed fierceness in the girl's expression. "I won't," she said, and wiped away her tears. She stood from her collapsed position on the ground, shaky at first but recovering within moments. "I won't let him have power over me any longer, and to do that, I need your help."
Ella nodded. "Whatever you'd need, I'm with you, I'm here for you."
"Good," she said, and no longer was there any hint of regret or sympathy in her tone for the man who had hurt her. Hurt so many.
Her voice was steely determination. "Because the only way to prevent our beloved young king from hurting anyone else," she continued, "is to end his reign. Permanently."
