Chapter 5

Delilah's POV:

I wake up and look at my alarm clock, it's 6:00 am. I grab my phone and get out of bed walking to the kitchen. I open the cupboard door and take out some shreddies. The kitchen in my room is gorgeous! It's rectangular shaped and MASSIVE. It's got a massive fridge, a massive cooker, a massive freezer, basically a massive everything. It also has a breakfast bar and an island in the middle of the kitchen. The front room is also quite big and it's got a MASSIVE flat screen tv on the wall and the comfiest sofa I have ever sat on. The windows are the same as Noah's, so when I'm bored sometimes I like to look out and just look at the beautiful city of New York. It really is beautiful. Especially at night when all the city lights twinkle. Although its very awkward having to see a bird fly into the window thinking it isn't there sometimes... Especially since I'm training to be a vet...

I'm sat at the breakfast bar finishing off my shreddies when I hear a knock at the door. I look at my phone and see its now 7:30am, hmm who could that be? I walk over to the door and open it.

'Hey buddie!' Screams Sophia

'Eeekkkk' I scream back at her!

'Sophia! I have missed you so much' I say as I pounce on her as we hug in a tight embrace.

Sophia is my childhood bestfriend, she doesn't live in NewYork she lives in London so I rarely get to see her. She is so gorgeous! Im so envious! She's wearing black tights with denim creepers, over the top of her tights she's wearing some short denim shorts and a bluey black faded jumper. She's wearing her eye liner quite thick and she's put light natural brown coloured eye shadow under the eyeliner and softened it and blended it to the top of her eye lid so it fades, and her eye lashes are long because of her mascara. She has hazel brown eyes. She's got brown hair with hints of red in. On one side it's shoulder length and the other side was shaved but it's growing quite fast now. She's trying to grow it all long. She really is beautiful!!

'I have missed you to girl!' She says excitedly pulling away from my hug, walking into my room.

I walk in after her and close the door. We walk to the sofa and I gesture her to sit down. We hug again, I really have missed her!

'So bud, what's the goss?' She says winking at me

'Oh nothing really, I met this lad yester-' I start saying before she cuts me off.

'What? Tell me all about him!!'

'Well there's nothing really to tell to be honest Soph' I say looking at her. She looks so funny. Not in a clown way but the way she reacts when I tell her I have met someone.

'Awhhh Delilah... Please!'

'Urgh fine' I say sighing.

I start to tell her about Noah but I miss out that he's an assassin and that I must die. I really will miss her when I die... Wait? Who's saying I will die? Who's saying he will kill me? Anyways I tell her he's a mechanic and that's he's REALLY hot!

'And we went to the park and it was really magical...' I start saying about how he started tickling me and it lead to the kiss. The first kiss. Oh it was so electric!

'Ohhh guurrrlllll your in!' She winks at me.

We both go into giggling fits. I get up and make ourselves a coffee each and sit back on the sofa. We make small talk and she tells me how she's with a guy called Cooper... He's the guy from our old secondary school, she used to be with until one of her exes ruined it for her and started making bullshit. Ergh I hate that guy with a passion and his sociopathic girlfriend. Anyways... She's telling me how she's enjoying her job being a nursery teacher and she getting on well with Cooper. They have been together for about a year now. Well on and off.

'Delilah... I have something to tell you...' She starts saying cautiously...

I look at her wide eyed, and then I get up to put the cups in the sink

'What? Has cooper engaged to you are something?' I start laughing whilst walking to the sink, but she remains silent. I put them in the sink and turn around.

'Sophia?...' I slowly say...

She just looks at me.

'He has hasn't he!?!?' I say excitedly

She starts nodding her head slowly and then stands up lifting her hand up and turning it around to show me the back of her hand and I see the shimmering of a diamond ring on her finger...

I scream in excitement.

'Is this why you have come?'

'Yeah...'

'Oh, well don't I feel loved' I say turning my head away with a pouty puppy dog look on my face

'And I came to see my best friend of course!' She smiles

'Good!' I say smiling back at her and then we start giggling again.

'I have work at 1pm today doll face' I say looking at Sophia.

'Okay, I think I'll explore the city' she says gleaming at me

'Oh and you have my number if you need me or get lost' I say winking at her.

'Okay'

'Where are you staying?' I ask?

'Next door' she says smirking at me

I scream once again!

'We so need one of our famous sleepovers girlfriend!' I say in a funny snobby voice

'We sure do, mmmm hmmm' she says as she clicks her fingers four times in a zig zag motion

Once again we start giggling.

I'm walking home from work just down the road when I see a red dot on the floor shaking and moving. I start following it with my head. I look around me and very carefully and slowly I saw the figure of a person on top of a building holding a gun... Wait... What?! A gun! I carry on walking slowly so that this person doesn't suspect anything and quickly turn a corner and then i immediately start shaking... Oh crap... Oh crap... Oh crap. My mouth drops open. Noah! That bastard!
