Y/n got up from the table and began to walk around the layer. Her father's words echoed in her head "what a monster." By now Nimona had rearranged all the weapons and made the place look a lot more dangerous. Y/n looked around and saw Nimona starting to make some food. Nimona turned around and smiled saying "hey y/n!" Y/n smiled back and blushed a bit but Nimona didn't really notice because she was humming and dancing to a song on her headphones. Y/n walked a bit closer and saw that Nimona was making tacos so y/n reached up into the cabinets to grab some spices. When y/n couldn't reach Nimona turned into a bird, flew up into the cabinet, and stoped the spices into y/n's hands. Nimona flew out of the cabinet and turned back into a human mid air before mixing the taco meat. Y/n put some spices in and looked at Nimona who was still humming the song on her headphones. "Hey Nimona" y/n said and Nimona took her headphones off and looked at Nimona. "I don't mean to offend you but... what are you?" Y/n paused a bit before saying the last part. "I'm Nimona" Nimona said with a straight face before going back to cooking. "Ok, got it" y/n said stepping away. Nimona put her headphones back on and continued humming her song. Y/n used the chain that was hanging from the ceiling to swing around on. Y/n was spinning in a circle laughing until Nimona spun y/n even faster. They were both laughing like crazy as y/n spun. Nimona went back to cooking quail still laughing. Nimona flipped the meat out of the pan and then back in. When Nimona looked up she saw Ballister looking over the top of the couch with a very confused and concerned look on his face. "Oh hi boss!" Y/n and Nimona said at the same time. Y/n hoped down from the spinning chain and tried to walk towards Ballister but she slipped and caught herself on the couch. "How long was I put for?" Ballister asked. Y/n walked over to the arm of the couch and sat down on it. Y/n sighed and looked up a Ballister saying "15 years" with a conveniently timed lightning strike for added effect. "15 years?!" Ballister shouted seeming very concerned. Nimona ran over and leaned on the couch saying "don't be so gullible it was just a couple of hours" then y/n ran over with the plate of tacos and dropped them on Ballister's lap. "Wait wait, the last thing I remember we were in a supply closet and now how did I get here?" Ballister asked ignoring the tacos y/n just gave him. "Oh I dragged you for like 7 miles" Nimona said and Ballister who was still confused asked "what happened?" Nimona leaned on the couch and said "your head bounced on the sidewalk a few times" "a few?" Y/n said nudging Nimona. Nimona chuckled as Ballister rubbed the back of his head. "It's all so foggy" Ballister said and Nimona replied by saying "really?" Before jumping over the back of the couch and landing on one of the cushions. "Well you thanked me said you would forever be in my debt and that we would always be best friends" Nimona said happily wail showing Ballister a picture of him unconscious on the couch with Nimona making him smile. Ballister looked at the picture then back up at Nimona. Nimona flicked the photo away saying "totally happened." "Hey I spruced up the layer!" Nimona said jumping up "I arranged all the weapons in order of deadlines, unchildproofed the place, opened all the poisons up, pulled all the nails oooooone centimeter out of the floor boards, over all just made it much more evil lairy I here" Nimona said excitedly as she roamed around the room and picked up one of the weapons. Y/n jumped up saying "you should change you name to evil Larry!" Nimona agreed but Ballister said "never gonna happen." "Fine Larry" y/n said as she walked away disappointed. Nimona slapped down the weapon she had, slid down it, jumped onto a chain, and swung over the the murder wall. "I updated you mother wall!" Nimona said gesturing towards the wall and turning on the light. As she did that one of the papers fell down so as Ballister was walking over she picked it up and put it back on the wall. Nimona happily said "plus I drew up some plans for revenge and torment and good old general malfeasance" Ballister started in shock at the picture of Ambrosius and y/n and Nimona stood back. "So Ballister what do you want to do first? I vote going and breaking random stuff" y/n said but Ballister ignored her and continued looking at the murder wall. Ballister looked at Nimona's drawing of pink animals killing a bunch of knights. When he made it to the drawing of the pink rhino he suddenly remembered. "Rhinoceros" Ballister said looking down at Nimona who looked worried. "You look freaked" Nimona said concerned about what Ballister was about to say or do. "You promised you hold it together" Nimona said pointing at Ballister. Ballister took a step back and reached for his sword saying "you not human." "You looking for something" Nimona said slightly angry as Ballister continued reaching for his sword. "My sword" he said taking another step back. "It exploded remember?" Nimona said angrier than last time. Nimona took a step towards Ballister and he took a few steps back. "You're..." Ballister started to say but Nimona cut him off by saying "a what marsupial? Mariachi? Meatball?" Ballister finished what he was saying "you're a monster" Ballister said as he backed into a corner. At that moment y/n's father's words echoed in her head "what a monster." Y/n jumped in front of Nimona shouting "do not call her that!" Y/n's eyes turned dark red and her pupils turned to slits. Her wings hid Nimona from Ballister.Both Nimona and Ballister were surprised by that. Y/n didn't realize she had her wings and stuff until her tail bumped into Nimona. After realizing what had happened she closed her wings tucked her tail up close to her and put her hands in her pockets to hide the claws. Ballister looked scared and confused and Nimona looked surprised. Y/n just stood there. Unable to move, talk, or even think. It was like someone had just pressed pause on y/n. She stood like that for a wile until Ballister said "monsters" under his breath. Nimona hid y/n behind her and y/n started to tear up. Nimona and Ballister argued for a little while until they heard quiet crying Corning from y/n. "I'm not a monster" y/n kept whispering to herself. Ballister just watched shocked and Nimona shot Ballister a nasty look and went and hugged y/n. Y/n hugged her back and kept crying. Ballister stood there rethinking what he had said. When y/n stoped crying she pulled away from Nimona's hug with a slight blush and y/n didn't realize that Nimona was blushing to. After a minute Ballister broke the silence by saying "I have a million questions." "You get one" Nimona said before grabbing two tacos one for her and one for y/n, handing one to y/n, and walking away. "Why are you two helping me?" Ballister asked. Nimona replied with "because I'm bored...and everybody hates you too" and y/n replied with "I'm here because Nimona is the only one who seems to care about me, not because of you." Nimona once again blushed a bit because of y/n but she hid it from her. Ballister looked down at the ground. He was ashamed of what he had said about y/n so he apologized. Y/n and Nimona turned to him and y/n forgave him. Ballister felt a bit better. He looked up at the picture of Ambrosius and then at the rest of the wall. "The squire has to know something. He's the one that gave me the sword. The sword that..." Ballister said. Nimona could tell Ballister was coming up with a plan and was already thinking of ways to create chaos. "You need the squire? Let's go kill- get him. Let's go get him" Nimona said and y/n laughed. Nimona finished by saying "us 3" but Ballister of course did not want to work with them. "I think what you're trying to say is thank you for saving my life 3 times if your keeping track" Nimona said. "But I'm sure you can do it yourself with everyone in the kingdom after you" y/n said following Nimona who just used the chain to swing to the door. Ballister hesitated for a moment before telling y/n and Nimona to wait. "Yyeess evil Larry?" Nimona said as both her and y/n smiled. Ballister sighed and started to say something but Nimona pretty much teleported in front of him to interrupt him and say "I'm in." She continued to say "but here's the thing when we clear your name then I am your official sidekick for ever and ever no takebacksies" Nimona held out her hand to shake and y/n held out hers. "Why are you still here I thought you hated me?" Ballister asked. "I don't hate you I was just mad now shake our hands" Ballister was hesitant and right before he shook out hands Nimona turned into a shark. "Can you just be you" Ballister was still not sure about the whole shape shifting thing. "Just shake our hands already!" I yelled and then looked over at Nimona "my hand her fin." Ballister was about to take our hand but stopped and Nimona and y/n grabbed his hand. He walked away probably because he was already tired of them. "Hey Nimona" y/n grabbed the camera and called shark Nimona over. "Yea y/n" she said and y/n held up the camera. "I have never been inside a sharks mouth before" she laughed and y/n took a picture of my head in her shark mouth pretending to be scared. Ballister sighed and finally took a taco as Nimona and I laughed at the photo.
