✨ chapter 1: summer nights ✨

❌ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LENGUAGE SO I APOLOGIZE FOR ANY KIND OF INCORRECT SPELLING AND INCORRECT USE OF WORDS❌

Sandy was your average 'innocent girl' naive, kind to others and what most people would consider as a coward towards certain things, well certainly she wasn't scared of making new friends, so it was safe to say that when we walked in her new school she already knew she would've been amazing at making friends!

She usually didn't like too much noise in the school hallways, this time she really didn't mind tho as she was too excited to care, she quickly made her way towards the principal's office, as she had to sign some papers and get her locker's number , her small white heels made an echoing sound that managed to calm her down a bit, even when she talked she sounded innocent.

When she was done with the principal she ran to class, not believing she was already running late, she sat at her desk and sighed listening to the teacher talk to the class, at some point of the class sandy felt a light tap on her shoulder, it was her neighbour frenchy, well she didn't know her that well, she knew her only by glance...as she saw her when her parents went to talk to the neighbours

"hey there! You're sandy right? Oh I'm so happy to see we share the same class...and the same bitchy teacher." She said already getting bored at the class she was attending sandy could notice her classmate's boredom from how much she was twirling her bubble gum pink hair between her fingers

"yeah I'm happy to see someone I...kind of know" Sandy replied happily and smiled looking at Frenchy's  hair, she then let out a small sigh as she was still pretty anxious about the whole situation

"oh how stupid! I'm frenchy! You know I think you'll fit in here just fine just try to be a bit more opened!" She said with her loud squirmy voice chewing loudly her bubblegum

Sandy turned around facing away from her after she gave her a small smile and thought about what she meant....she felt more awkward now..

-after classes-

Sandy  was finally about to be introduced to her neighbours best firends, she didn't really feel that great at first about them but decided not to say anything about it expecially because she didn't wanna seem rude about it , she was brought back to reality when frenchy finally spoke to the girls at the table "Hi tomboys! Meet Sandy my new neighbor! Sandy this is rizzo" Francy explained as she looked at the blonde girl next to her "hello." rizzo replied almost annoyed, she sitting at the head of the table while drinking from an almost empty can of coke " she's Marty and you'll surely remember Jan" said Francy turning to both of them to wave and smile "oh yeah i remember, pleasure to meet you girls" sandy said feeling awkward, she decided to sit down next to the her friend, francy quickly fixed her hair then opened a can of 7-up and took a sip "hm! Marty, did you get new glasses?" she asked, sipping again as she waited for the brounette's reply "yes, they are beautiful, right? i bought them for the first day of school , don't they make me look intelligent?" she looked around the table for a word of approval and just as soon as jan was about to speak she got cut off by rizzo "no. i can still see your face" Rizzo blurted out then proceeded to put a cigarette between her lips liting it "ummm... you shouldn't smoke, it's bad for you..." Sandy said looking at the girl with black hair "sorry mom I won't do it anymore" Rizzo said, her tone seemed very sour in itself and that made sandy want to change her to make her sweeter , and for how determined Sandy was she would certainly have succeeded.

"so sandy what did you do this summer?" Jan asked with his mouth full of maccheroni "oh! I went to the beach and.... well I met a boy" she said smiling, Danny was the only one who knew about her "confusion" after all he was just like her only with boys "and you took your charms to the beach for a boy?" Marty asked and then took off her glassesin a fake disbelief "yes, well he's different ..he's special" Sandy said giggling at the thought of the nights spent together "you're joking right? They do not exist." Rizzo replied almost in a mean and cold way.The blonde girl stared at her for a few seconds and then began to describe the boy as best she could since she hadn't seen him for a week or so, she was immediately interrupted by one of the girls asking her the name of the mysterious boy "danny... danny zuko " there was dead silence at the Pink Ladies table after the blonde said that name , Sandy looked around very confused "Did I say something wrong?" she asked her friend a little anxiously, the silance was soon broken by rizzo that said "oh no honey don't worry... come on follow me I'll show you something"she smiled soon getting up from the chair taking sandy's arm almost as if to drag her near the bleachers of the baseball field where a group of boys, known in thet school as the T-birds were shouting like little girls and being completely childish, their attention was soon grabbed by the girl approaching that shouted loudly "hey Zuko I brought you a little present!" Rizzo smirked while looking at the boy who shortly after turned to look at the girl noticing a figure that was wau too familiar next to her "Sandy!?" he said immediately ran down from the stands, when sandy heard his voice her eyes lit up "Danny!?" she said hugging him "oh god I thought we would never see each other again!!!" said the boy, hugging her back "no way!!!! i can't believe you're here!!!" he added "well here I am!!!" the blonde said giggling while the other girls remained speechless to say the least, except Rizzo,she knew exactly what was going on, she knew it too well, she knew that the relationship between sandy and danny would never go forward, she also knew about the relationship between danny and kenickie(?), actually thw two boys weren't together yet but it was clear that every time the two looked at each other it was like they were beggeing one another to be bent over right then and there , but obviously the others didn't seemed unaware of all this, after all she had been dating kenickie quite a while ago and was sure of the boy's stares and what they meant.In the meantime Sandy and Danny continued to talk and remember their last moment together, obviously it wasn't as beautiful as the others imagined, the only thing they remembered of their last night toghether was waking up on a deckchair on the beach with a very bad hangover, but at least they had fun "I remember that you danced like an idiot Zuko you looked like a stripper!!" Sandy said laughing "what are you saying I dance like a tough guy. speak for yourself! you sang like a skinned chicken!" Zuko said acting offended "oh cut the lies Zuko!" Sandy said laughing as he gave the boy a slap on the wrist "come on danny you're actually an idiot" sandy said with a bright smile on her face, Danny soon noticed how the other boys were looking at him which made his body freeze, he knew he had only one solution to keep the tention loose between him and the others.

Sandy looked confused "ummm Danny?" She called to get his attention, Danny quickly looked at sandy and crossed his arms "yeah hot stuff that's my name don't use it too much, you might ruin it you know?" He looked at her in a desperate attempt to make her understand that she needed to help him "Danny what are you saying? What's the matter with  you?" Sandy looked extremely confused not being able to pick up the boy's cry for help "what's the matter with me baby? What's the matter with you!" He said laughing and looking at the people on the pleachers making them laugh too, except kenickie he stayed silent and put together throughout the whole thing "that's not the same Danny I met at the beach.." sandy said pretty sad about it all "oh I'm sorry darling why don't you put a missing person's report on the news! Maybe there's two of us!!" He said laughing a bit and fixing his curly short hair "you're such a jerk!" She said pushing him lightly and turning to go away, immediately being hugged by the group of girls.

They soon moved back to the tables "hey sandy it's fine....he's just an asshole don't mind him, you know what honey I'll prepare a slumber party! Yeah? Just us girls tonight at my house!" Francy said smiling hoping she would feel better "thank you frency.... you're the best..." sandy said drying her tears with the sleave of her cardigan...despite everything this was still going to be a good day for the blonde...
