Turned out, the reapers did a great job at finding and destroying horcruxes. By the time summer rolled around, all of them had been destroyed.

Harry, knowing that his visions were false, made his way alone to the Ministry, not expecting his boyfriend to follow like he did.

"Surrender, Potter," Lucius Malfoy drawled from behind his Death Eater mask. "Hand yourself over." He held Draco at wandpoint. Umbridge, a Death Eater herself, had caught him sneaking in after Harry and had restrained him, searching him much too thoroughly for Harry's liking.

"Don't you dare, Hadrian," Draco hissed.

Harry ignored him and immediately threw his wand across the room, allowing himself to be restrained.

Lucius, annoyed with his son for interfering, threw him to the ground. "Silencio. Crucio," he cast, watching in satisfaction as Draco writhed on the ground, screams muted by the silencing spell.

Harry struggled against his captors, snarling like a wild animal. "Stop it!" he shouted. "Stop!"

Lucius let up on the curse for the moment and turned to Harry. "Why should I?"

Harry's vision turned red and he looked at the man with a bloodcurdling expression. "He's mine," he snarled. "No one touches him."

Soon enough, everyone in the room was dead, except Draco, whose head was pulled lovingly into Harry's lap as he whimpered from the residual pain left over from the curse.

"How... touching," a high voice said.

Harry didn't have to turn to know it was Voldemort. He kissed Draco's forehead and stood to face the Dark Lord. Unfortunately for Voldemort, Harry was beyond pissed with him.

"You can't win against me, Potter," the Dark Lord said condescendingly as he faced Harry.

Harry smirked, knowing full well he was wrong. "You aren't invincible anymore, Riddle. You felt it, didn't you? The pieces of your soul returning to you? Perhaps you thought I wouldn't kill? Look around, Tom. I will do anything for my Dragon."

Voldemort looked around at the bloodbath and horror and respect dawned in his eyes. "You killed them?"

Harry just smiled sharply and walked to one of the mutilated bodies. "I took my time with this one," he said softly. "She got too handsy with my Dragon. She'll be sure to get special treatment in Hell."

Voldemort took one step back. "Who are you?"

Harry sighed and waved his hand, casting the killing curse and ridding the world of Lord Voldemort. "I am Harry Potter," he said. "Master of Death." He went back to cradling Draco in his arms.

The rest of the night was simple enough, really. Draco got treated at St. Mungo's for the lasting effects of the curse while Harry gave an account of what happened. Alright, the account might have been a bit vague, but that didn't matter much. They could come to their own conclusions.

They ultimately wrote off the mass murder as Voldemort getting upset that his followers hadn't achieved their purpose by the time he arrived. Harry avoided the reporters, refusing to give any comment on the battle.

The next day, an article that "detailed the encounter" was published on the front page of the Daily Prophet.

The-Boy-Who-Lived Defeats You-Know-Who Once and For All.

Harry Potter, The-Boy-Who-Lived, has once again saved the wizarding world! In a short battle at the Department of Mysteries, Harry Potter fought You-Know-Who in an epic battle. After one of the present Death Eaters, Lucius Malfoy, tortured a friend of Potter's, You-Know-Who arrived and, in a rage at finding Potter unrestrained, slaughtered every single one of his Death Eaters. Potter then faced off against You-Know-Who and managed to rebound his killing curse, effectively ending his reign of terror.

The Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge seemed shaken as he denied us access to the scene of the battle. Was You-Know-Who's rage so immense that the sight shook our beloved Minister so badly?

Harry's reading was interrupted as Scorpius came barreling into him in the Great Hall, giving him a hug before plopping down beside him. He wrapped his arms around the smaller boy and glared at anyone who looked like they were about to comment about him being at the Gryffindor table.

Draco wasn't back from St. Mungo's and Scorpius had taken to sitting with the Gryffs of the group instead. His necklace glinted proudly around his neck that day, as they would be picking up Draco and then returning home.

Harry served Scorpius some of his favorites before returning to his own meal. "Once you've finished eating, we'll go get Dray," he promised the young boy.

Scorpius grinned and wolfed down his food.

Once they had both finished eating, they boarded the train with Neville and Luna, both of whom were staying with their respective servants for the summer. The twins and Lee were riding in a different compartment, giving the masters time to talk together.

"Will you be returning to Hogwarts?" Neville asked Harry.

Harry sighed. "Probably not, no. We already know it all and now there's no reason to stay, with Riddle gone."

"What about Draco?" Luna asked.

"I'll have Gerald guard him while he finishes Hogwarts. I'll visit him at Hogsmeade. With Riddle gone, nothing bad will happen."

"What about me?" Scorpius asked quietly, his eyes wide and filled with tears. "Why are you leaving me?"

Harry's eyes softened. "I'm not leaving you, Scorp. I'll visit and you can call me anytime. You'll still get to spend summers with me at home and we'll do all sorts of fun things together."

Scorpius seemed satisfied with that and snuggled into him with a small smile.

Once in London, the two made their way to St. Mungo's to get Draco.

The Malfoy heir was sitting up in bed by the time they arrived and looking much better than before. He smiled at them as they entered and stood to pull them into big hugs. "Please tell me it's time to go home," he pleaded.

Harry chuckled. "Let's go, Dragon. I'm sure Remus will have some choice words for you about following me."

Draco got his bag and they checked out before leaving to the nearest alley where they could portal to Hell.

"Draco Malfoy! What were you thinking? You could have been killed!"

Harry laughed at his lover as he was scolded for rushing into danger. Everything is perfect, he decided. For once, Life is being merciful and everything is perfect.
