chapter four
third person's pov
╰── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──╯Out of all of the student body at Auradon Prep, there was only one pirate, the daughter of Zarina. Some might (and have) thought that she escaped from the isle of the lost, but she hasn't. That is just the way that she dresses, as she almost never wears anything else half of the time. Almost every day she is looking like she is part of Captain Hook's pirate crew, or at least the child of said pirate crew member. Then again, her mother is a pirate, so it makes sense.
Zariah is best friends with Tiffany, which is the daughter of Tinker Bell and Terrance. Tiffany is a carbon copy of her mother, Tinkerbell. To the point is a little creepy at least to Zariah. It scares her a little.
Zarina was heading towards Fairy Godmother's Goodness class as she is shadowing the class, and to see how the Villain Kids are.
"Zariah, welcome, sit anywhere." Fairy Godmother says as Zariah sat behind Mal and Evie.
"Let's get back to the lesson." Fairy Godmother says as Zariah got out her notebook to take notes.
"If someone hands you a crying baby, do you A, curse it? B, lock it in a tower? C, give it a bottle? Or D, carve out it's heart?" Fairy Godmother says before calling on Evie as her hand was raised. "Evie."
"What was the second one?" Evie asked as Josie rolls her eyes at the blue haired girl as she and Mal already knew the answer. Just pick the ones that aren't 'evil' and 'wicked' or 'cruel'.
"Oh, okay. Anyone else?" Fairy Godmother says as she looks around and sees that Josie is doing something in a notebook as she is sketching her father's hook. "Josie?" Godmother calls on her as she looks up as she is twirling with the ends of her hair.
"Uh, C, give it a bottle." She says answering the question as Carlos looks at her impressed.
"Correct, again," Godmother says with a proud smile as Josie looks back down as she thinks that being praised for her 'good' work is weird. Then again, it's Auradon, what should she expect.
"You're on fire, girl!" Carlos says to her as Josie felt her cheeks turning a light red, as she smiled a little as she is sitting in front of Evie and Mal.
"Just pick the one that doesn't sound any fun." Mal says as she wasn't paying attention as she drew a replica of the wand. As that's the only thing that's on her mind. Zariah nods her head with a smile on her face as she definitely likes Mal now.
"Oh." Carlos says looking down as Josie colors in the hook.
"That makes so much sense." Evie says as both Josie and Mal both roll their eyes at her.
"Oh..." They both say mockingly under their breaths.
Jane, Fairy Godmother's daughter walks into the room where her mother is teaching. "Oh. Hello, dear one. Hi. You need to sign off on early dismissal for the coronation. Everyone here remembers my daughter, Jane?"
What's the coronation? No one cares. Josie wanted to say that but that would be rude, and she's already gotten into trouble by the teachers for her rudeness.
Zariah isn't a big fan of the parties and or anything that results her into wearing anything fancy. She loves her pirate look and almost never wears anything else.
"Mom, no!" Jane says as her mother ignores her.
"It's okay, Jane, this is everyone." Fairy Godmother says.
"Hi. That's okay, don't mind me. As you were." Jane says as while this went on, Josie turns to look at Mal who looks up at her best friend before nodding her head as they were developing a plan. They always did their schemes together. Zariah looks at Josie and Mal, but not long enough to stare, but long enough to get a little suspicious.
"Ahem. Let's continue. You find a vial of poison. Do you, A, put it in the king's wine. B, paint it on an apple? Or C, turn it over to the proper authorities?" Fairy Godmother says as Josie was the first one to raise her hand, as Godmother smiles brightly at her.
"Josie." She says, as she points the chalk to her.
"Tur--" Josie went to answer the question but Jay beat her to it
"Turn it over to the proper authorities!" Jay exclaims making Josie take a deep breath as sometimes she wanted to beat this guy up. Zariah rolled her eyes at Jay along with a shake of her head.
"Jay." Fairy Godmother says as he had Carlos into a headlock.
"I was going to say that, but JJ said that." Carlos says as Josie rolls her eyes at him.
"But I said it first! Come here!" Jay says as the two begin to wrestle on the table, as Josie takes a deep breath, as she is about to snap on the two, but keeps her composure.
"Ooh...get off." Carlos says as he tries to get Jay off of him, Zariah went to get up to intervene but Josie had already beat her to it.
"ENOUGH!!" Josie yelled at the top of her lungs which made the two boys, stop wrestling on the table and for everyone else in the vicinity to stop and look at her.
"Told you." Mal says as she knew that shortly after they would get here that she'd lose her temper much like her father.
"Boys, I'm going to encourage you to use that energy on the tourney field." Fairy Godmother says once the two let go of each other and sat down back into their chairs. Josie's eyes turned a bright gold color, as that's what happens when she loses her temper. Fairy Godmother then looks at Josie. "Thanks sweetie, but please don't yell." She says as Josie looks down as she rolled her eyes which made Fairy Godmother to sigh.
Not long after that the bell rang meaning the end of class, as Fairy Godmother called Josie to the back of the front of the class once the others were out of sight and earshot.
"I know you have your father's temper; I commend you for making the boys stop wrestling on the table, but that's no excuse to yell. Okay." Fairy Godmother says as Josie looks at the woman without nodding her head, but with a blank look on her face.
"Fine." Josie says as Fairy Godmother knew that would be the only thing that she would get out of the girl, at least until she opens up more. As she sees a lot of potential in the girl. "Can I go now? I don't want to be late for class." She says lying through her teeth as she has free period after this class, but she just wanted to get away from Fairy Godmother.
"Sure, have a good day sweetie." Fairy Godmother says to the girl, as not even halfway through her sentence Josie had walked out. She knew that Josie would be a tough cookie to crack, as it's obvious that she has a wall built up, and she is determined to break down that wall.
