Tom accepted the hand. Tord roughly yanked Tom's arm, slamming their bodies together and linking their hands.

Tord wrapped his arms around Tom's soaked neck as Tom's hands found their way to Tord's thin hips. Their feet glided across the uneven soil, trying their best to maneuver around the murky puddles.

There was no music, but they didn't need it.

Tom felt Tord's pounding heart press up against his chest. His face screamed happiness but a strong sense of anxiety. He hugged him closer and Tom dipped him playfully. He tipped him back, pulling close. Pulling too close. His breath was felt by Tord. Their faces almost bashing together, Tom could detect the faint smell of bubblegum on Tord's lips.

Tord slowly let his mouth curl into a smirk.

"I never knew you were so fond of me, kittyboy."

Tom felt himself blush madly, tickling his cheeks and making a shiver send down his spine.

He immediately pulled a bit away, and looked away.

Tord leaned gently into Tom's ears, dropping his voice to a melodic whisper.

"When I look into your eyes, it's like watching the night sky."

Tom bowed his head into the crook of Tord's neck. He continued the lyrics into a duet.

"Or a beautiful sunrise–"

"Well, there's so much they hold."

Tord smiled to the point where he felt the tinge in his cheeks.

"And just like them old stars,"

"I see that you've come so far,"

The two synced together to sing together.

"To be right where you are.

How old is your soul?"

"Well I won't give up on us,

Even if the sky gets rough.

I'm giving you all my love.

I'm still looking up."

Every couple of minutes, the two would come up with a song to sing, even if the other wasn't familiar with it. The two forgot that time existed. Because in that moment, time didn't exist. Neither did any concept of pain, any concept of fear. The two were in bliss. Not like they were numb to negative feelings, but embraced every feeling inside their bodies. Every wince of stepping on a rock, or the slip on a place of mud, they would smile and continue on. Nothing would ever stop the two as they held on for each other, flowing beautifully through all the water poured on the two. They felt a stronger connection than an orbiting planet on a star.

Tom was helpless.

The two sang through the storm, giggling at every mess up on the lyrics, and Tord occasionally letting go and dragging him somewhere else in the woods to twirl back into his arms, laughing like it was just a friendly joke.

Tom was utterly helpless.

Helplessly in love.
