Chapter 1 : Meet Them

The chapter starts with a dark room. Nothing but darkness can be seen. Suddenly gunshots were heard. A few minutes later a boy screamed.
"Aaaaah!"
Suddenly, there was blood everywhere. And few people's talk was coming from the background.
"Tumhere vaja se yeh hua hai."
"Tum khooni ho. Chale jao yeha se"
"NAAAAHI"
A person walks up in the middle of the night. He was sweating. His full body was shaking. The boy said to himself,
"Yeh ek buura sapna tha. Kuch nahi hua, Karan. All fine"
Yes! The boy was Karan. Karan drinks a glass of water. He took out a family photo. Param, Baby, Barkha, Neil & Karan were present in the photo.
"I wish woh deen kabhi nahi aata. Kyu naahi trust kiya mujhpe? Kyu? Bhai, kyu? Kyu? Mai kya itna he bura hu. Mere life mai kya kabhi khushi naahi aayenge?"
A few drops of tears fall from Karan's eyes. He hugs the picture and goes to sleep.
The scene changes. A girl was talking with a photo in her hand.
"Mai na kabhi kabhi sochti hu, ki aaj iss deen mai celebrate kaaru yah phir dukh maanao. Iss deen mai mere life ki sabse baari khushi, mere jaan, mere baccha, mere Simi aaya tha. Again aaj he mere life ki sabse three persons mujhe chor kaar chale gaya. Do(2) God ke pass aur ek........Kyu? Humesha aisa kyu hota hai. Kya mere life mai kabhi khushi nahi aayenge?"
A few drops of tears fall from her eyes. A boy keeps his hand on the girl's shoulder and says,
"Baara(12) baaj gaye. Aab jaldi se eyes ki aasu haata aur chaal. Gautaum bhai aur Veedu Di dekh rahi hai tujhe. Bohot gussa karenge if they see that Simi ki birthday ke deen tu aisa ro rahi hai"
Sid softly removes tears from Monami's eyes and signals her to smile. Monami smiles. They both then go to the kitchen. Monami opens the fridge and takes out and large heart-shaped chocolate cake in which "Happy Birthday Simi" is written using vanilla cream. On the other hand, Sid takes some candles and places them on the cake. Then they both go to Simi's room. Simi was sleeping in her room peacefully. Sid turns on the light. Sid & Monami start singing.
"Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Simi. Happy Birthday to you."
Simi moves a little in her sleep. With her eyes closed & a smile, Simi says,
"Thank you Monu ma & Sid poppy. Simi loves you."
Monami sits on the bed beside half-sleeping Simi. She caresses her hair. She says,
"Monu ma & Sid poppy love you too, baccha. Aab jaldi se utho cake bhi to katna haina?"
Simi says cutely,
"Baad me"
Just then Sid's phone rang. The name on the caller ID is Daddyji. Sid says,
"Simi, jaldi se uth ja. Tere Buddy ki call aaya hai."
Hearing this, Simi walks up in a jerk, takes Sid's phone and answers it. On the call,
"Happy Birthday, my princess."
"Thanks, Buddy."
"Sid aur Monami kaha hai."
"Mere saamne hai. Baat karenge?"
Simi passes the phone to Sid & Monami. Sid says,
"Kaisa ho, Daddyji?"
"Thik hu."
Monami says to Simi,
"So kya hum cake cut sakte hai."
Simi playfully nodded and cut the cake. Everyone again sings the Happy Birthday song. Simi blows the candle and makes a wish. She feeds cake to Sid & Monami. Avinash asks Simi,
"Kya wish maangi mera princess ne iss saal?"
"Mai yeh wish maangi ki iss saal hum India ja sakta hai."
Everyone's smile drops upon hearing it. Monami says sternly,
"Bohot ho gaya. Aab jaldi se sojao."
"Par Monu ma kya mere yeh wish nahi puri hongi."
Sid looks at an angry Monami & says to manage the situation,
"Simi tu soja. Hum socchenge iss baare mai. Daddyji aap bhi sojaie. Good night."
"Abey Nalayak, tu America hai aur mai India me. Yeh paar morning hours chaal raha hai."
"Oo ha. Sorry sorry."
Everyone chuckles except for Monami. Simi goes to sleep and Avinash cuts the call. Monami goes to her room with an upset face. Sid sighs seeing the whole situation.
The scene changes to a girl's room. She is getting ready to go out. A woman comes to her room and says,
"Kaha ja rahe hai?"
"Office."
"Weekend deen mai bhi kaam."
"Kya kaaru, ma? Boss ki order hai."
"Suun tere liye bohot accha ladka mille hai mujhe. Businessman hai. Family accha hai. Sanskari bhi hai aur....."
"Ma, please. Aab nahi."
"Aisa kyu kaar raha hai, Koel. Yeh tere aur Nikhil dono ke liye accha hoga."
So the girl is Koel and the woman is Koel's mother.
"Ma, pehle baat ki koi bhi ladka kisi vidhava se shaadi nahi karenge. Aur mera to baccha bhi hai. Secondly, I don't think ki mai Arjun ki baad kisi se pyaar kar paogi. And lastly mai aab mere career per focus kar rahi hu."
"Par..."
"Ma, please. This conversation ends now."
Saying this Koel gets out of the room and leaves for office.
The scene changes to Mahajan Hospital. A group of doctors is performing a surgery. The patient's family members are waiting & praying to the Almighty. After a few hours, the head surgeon comes out. A girl runs towards him and says,
"Doctor ji, kya humere bappu thik hai na?"
"Relax. Aapki father thik hai. The surgery is successful."
The girl sighs in relief. The doctor says,
"Par uski 2 months bed rest lagegi."
"Thanks, Doctor."
"Dr. Ishan Verma"
"Huh?"
"Second-second doctor sunne me weird laag raha hai. By the way, aapka naam?"
"Sanjana Dubey."
"Nice to meet you, Miss Sanjana Dubey."
"Apko kaise pata mai miss hu I mean Mrs bhi to hosakta hu."
"Oh no! I really don't want such a beautiful lady to be married."
"EXCUSE ME?"
"Just maaza kar raha tha. Don't take it seriously."
Just then a nurse calls Ishaan and says,
"Sir, Deepak sir aapko uski cabin me bula raha hai."
"Mai aarahi hu."
The nurse left. Ishaan turns to Sanjana and says,
"Sorry, have to go."
Saying this, Ishaan left. Sanjana thinks,
"Kitna besharam hai yeh ladka. Kaise openly flirt kaar rahi thi. Par jo bhi ho baapu ki zindagi inn aadmi ne he baachaya. Bhagwan se innke burai to nahi kar sakti."
Sanjana chuckles a little recalling it.
The scene changes to Dr. Mahajan's cabin. Ishaan enters. Ishaan says,
"Sir, aap bulaya mujhe?"
"Ha, Ishaan. I have called you for a special reason. Maine dekha tumne kaise Mr Dubey ki case ko handle kiya. Tumhere vaja se woh zinda hai."
"Sir, maine kuch nahi kiya. Bhagwan he aisa chahte he."
"Ek patient ke liye doctor he bhagwaan hai. So, I am impressed. That's why, I want you to be the next head of the Mahajan Hospital."
"KYA? I mean sir mai kaise....."
"Ishaan, yes or no."
"Sir, I need time. So, please..."
"Jitna time lage le lo."
"Thanks Sir.
Ishaan leaves the cabin with a deep thought.
The scene changes to a boy's room. He is packing his bag. Suddenly his phone rang. The name on the caller ID is Choti. He picks up the call. The boy says,
"Kaise hai choti?"
"Faizi bhai, kitna baar kaahu mai choti nahi hu. Mai ek adult hu. Ishika Shergil naam mera."
So the boy is Faizi & the girl is Ishika. Faizi says,
"Par mere liye tu humesha choti he rahege. Aab bool phone kyu diya?"
"Woh Karan bhai mere phone nahi utha rahi thi."
"Mai Karan ko phone de rahi hu."
Faizi leaves his room and enters Karan's room which is beside Faizi's room. Karan is packing his bag. Faizi tells Karan,
"Karan, Ishika ki phone."
Karan takes the phone. He says,
"Hello, kaise hai Ishu?"
"Mind-blowing, bhai."
"Ghar mai saab kaisa hai?"
"Saab thik hai, bhai. Flight kaab ki hai?"
"Ek ghante mai nikaal jaongi."
"Accha bhai, mission mai kitna waqt lagegi?"
"Pata nahi. International mission hai. So time to lagegi."
"Khudka dhayan rakhna. I will miss you."
"But I will not miss you, my cutie pie sis."
"Bhai!"
"Accha baba, I will miss you too. Now I have to go. Bye."
"Bye, bhai. USA jakar phone dena."
"Okay. Bye."
"Bye"
The phone conversation ends.
In Ishika's room, Ishika turns to the door and finds Param standing there angrily. Ishika says,
"Bhai, aap yeh par?"
Param comes towards Ishika and says,
"Kisse baat kar rahi thi?"
"Bhai....woh...."
"Tu phirse uss aadme se baat kiya. Maine kitna baar kaha uss aadme se tu koi communication nahi rahegi. Phir bhi. Tujhe pata nahi he iss aadme ne kiya."
"Bhai, please. Pehla baat yeh ki Karan bhai ne kuch nahi kiya. Aur aap hote kaun ho mujhe bolne ke liye ki mai kisse baat kaaru na kaaru?"
"ACCHA! Attitude dekha rahi hai. Mai last time bool rahi hu agar tu phirse koi contact rakhi uss admi se phir ISS GHAR MAI TERE JAGA NAHI HOGI. GOT IT?"
"PHIR MUJHE REHNA BHI NAHI HAI ISS GHAR MAI."
Neil enters the room hearing their sounds. He says,
"Do bhai behen mai itna jhagra kyu ho rahi hai?"
Param & Ishika look at Neil. Param says,
"Nahi Neil. Waisa kuch nahi hai."
"Pakka na?"
Ishika says,
"Ha, Neil. Waise kuch nahi hai. Tere koi kaam nahi hai kya? Tu ja."
Neil says,
"Aise bool rahi hai ki tere kitna kaam. Ja rahi hu."
Neil lefts. Ishika also left but not before looking at Param.
