Heath paced alongside the concrete that bordered the outside of the cafeteria. He lifted his hand, raking his fingers swiftly through his brown, almost black hair. He continuously eyed his watch, expecting Logan to burst through the cafeteria doors at any second. Finally, part of him gave up, and he leaned against the brick wall, folding his arms against his chest.

Logan raced through the halls, trying to get to the cafeteria as soon as possible. Crowds of people clumped the hallways, and she found it hard to make it past them. Finally reaching the lunch room, she broke through the doors and searched for Heath. She sighed sadly as she didn't see him, and headed to her car.

"There she is, Logan Nicole Myers."

She whipped around at the sound of her name and saw Heath walking forward. Relief washed over her entire body.

"Afraid I wasn't going to show up?" He looked down at her, eyebrows raised.

"Pft, no." she scoffed, as if it were the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard.

"Oh, don't lie." he laughed but shook his head. "Don't worry, I wouldn't leave you hanging." He watched her cheeks become tinted with pink as he winked.

"Alright, so what do you want, pretty boy?" Logan asked with fake annoyance.

"Oh, getting fancy with the nicknames, are we?" He smiled and drew in a ragged breath. "Well, I wanted to meet you out her because I wanted to know if you wanted to see a movie or something. Like, this weekend."

Logan took in a sharp breath. "Heath..." She paused, not believing that this was actually happening. Heath Parker was asking her on a date?

"Yea?"

She looked up, her thoughts becoming scattered as his voice broke the silence. "That sounds great."

"Ok, sweet. I'll pick you up Friday?" Heath had never felt so nervous around a girl before, and for the first time in forever, he found it hard to speak.

"That'll be great." Logan nodded, and as if on cue, she wrote her number down on a slip of paper and handed it to him. "Here, I've got to go, but I'll see you Friday." she smiled and walked off to her car.

Heath stared at the numbers scribbled neatly on the paper. Why was he so happy to have some girls number? He laughed quietly at his idiocy. Of course he would be excited to have Logan's number, he was in to her.

Making his way to his car, Heath tossed the little piece of paper over in his fingers repeatedly. He slid into the driver's seat and whipped out his phone.
