Chapter 5 -Going to Punjab

It was about 7 pm, they had finished their dinner earlier today because Shahnaaz wanted to start packing. They were catching a flight early tomorrow, So she wanted to go to bed earlier as well.

"Tu nay apni her cheez pack kaar li hay,kuch rah too nahi gaya, (Have you m=pack everything you need Sidharth ) Shehnaaz asked Sidharth who just entered the room and saw her busy packing her stuff.

"Meri Mom hain, unhoo nay kaar de her cheez pack small bag main buss kapray rahty hain rakhnay walay,( My mom packed everything that I needed in a small bag, I only have to pack my clothes now ) He said very cheerfully and laid down another side of the bed. Then he got up quickly and put his suitcase on the bed as well and started to pack his stuff which he had already chosen last night. He started folding his shirts. Shahnaaz stared at him first, She zipped her suitcase and left it on the floor near the bed. She took a shirt from his hand and started folding. He smiled and started passing him all the clothes one by one while she was packing carefully. In the middle of the packing, he threw himself on the bed again.
"Sidharth " She almost yelled with anger and irritation because everything on the bed jumped with him including his half-packed and folded clothes in the suitcase. She thought she was almost done with his bag and it took her a while to pack everything and place in order. She looked properly irritated by his child-like actions at this moment. She really wanted to finish packing so she could do something else with herself.

"O Sorry, Sorry baby," Sidharth said in a very apologetic way like he really didn't realise that it could create a mess and extra work for her. She got busy again with packing while he moved his pillow in the middle of the bed, lay in front and leaned his both arms on the pillow. His face was toward Shehnaaz.

"Mujay bari excitement hoo rahi tery punjab janay ki,( I am very excited to go to Punjab)" Sidharth said to her with a smile.
"Dikh raha hay,( I can see that ) She said with a giggle because she couldn't stop adoring him from this yesterday when they decided to go together and booked flights which fortunately were open this week. Since then Sidharth has been acting like a small kid who can't wait to get to the playground and can't be bothered with anything around him. Pritti De even said this morning that he reminded her of his school days when he couldn't be bothered with homework and just went to the playground to play cricket.

She looked so composed and mature compared to him this time.
"Kya kaha tha BB house main mujay, "I am too old for you baby (What did you say in Bigg boss house that You are too old for me ) She mimicked his voice and he laughed
"Kabhi kabhi mujay lagta hay Sidharth, main nay jay godh liya hay, bilkul bacha lagta hay mujay kabhi kabhi " (Sometimes I feel that you are that kid who I adopted )

She went to pick up his toiletries and medicine bag which mom packed and left on the top of the corner table while she was talking to him. He turned his head and his eye followed her wherever she was moving.
"Sidharth ", They heard Mom's voice outside the door.

"Ya Mom, He sat down quickly and she came in and saw shehnaaz standing in front of her. Mom had a few bags in her hands.
"Ya main ajj bazar gai thi too tumharay gharwaloo k liay kuch gifts lay k aai hoo, Ya lay jaoo sath " ( I went for shopping today and got your family a few things , Please take these with you ) She passed those bags to shehnaaz and she wasn't sure what to say .
"yah kyun itnay laad laday app nay in k , " ( you shouldnt have to do that ) Shehnaaz took bags and said in a humorous way.

"Arry , Too mom humain be kuch layna chahiay tha . " He said to Mom but was looking at shehnaaz like they were an old married couple and counting themselves as one couple. 

"Awain rahnay day , lock down hay , ( leave it, its lockdown )Shehnaaz looked back into his eyes and moved her hand in the air like trying to get rid of a fly and laughed at the same time.

"Bag main rakh loo inhay be bata, (put them in your suitcase with care so you don't miss them . ) Mom said to Shehnaaz.

"Mera to baar gaay mom, sidharth k bag main jaga hay kuch aur baki ak chota bag aur bana layti hoo, meri be kuch cheezain rah gai hay, " (Mom my suitcase is full but Sidharth's got some space, I urgest them there or make one extra bag because I have to put few of my stuff as well . ) She was explaining to mom while she was looking stuff on the bed as it was more work. Mom looked at her face and she looked so serious and responsible. She came forward and hugged and kissed her forehead. She hugged back and kissed her cheeks.

"Fikaar na karay hum assy gay aur assy aay, Khudh na aay to sidharth ko bayj doo gi , " (Dont worry , We will be back in few days and If my work took longer than I will send Sidharth home ) Shehnaaz said in very caring way which makes Mom smile .

"Array main kyun jaldi aao ga , Tumharay sath hi aao ga , " (Why I come back earlier, I will come with you ) Sidharth again looks like that kid who yells "Don't tell me to do this ".

Mom smile and said " Nahi enjoy karo yaha too lockdown pata nahi kab khatam hoo ,Acha hay khulay hawa main gomo gay thora " (Its good to be in fresh air , Enjoy your time , God knows when this lockdown will end )
She was going to walk out then stood near the door and said "Netu tum logo ko airport chor day gi aditya k sath subha, (Netu De will drop you guys with Aditiya )" She told them and walked out before they say anything.

The next morning every one was standing in the living room waiting for Sidharth and he was as usual late.

"Sidharth flight miss hoo gai na too main tujay drive kara k lay k jaoo gi Chandigarh, ) (Sidharth if we missed our flight then you have to drive me to Punjab) Now shehnaaz was literally getting angrier and that was prominent in her voice. All the bags were already in the car, they only waiting for Sidharth. He quickly kissed Mom and said bye while Shehnaaz and Netu De were already halfway to the lift. They drove to the airport and the paparazzi were waiting for them in front of the departure.

"Abbay yaar, Ajj time nahi hay (Today we don't have time for paparazzi) Sidharth said sitting in the front seat while they were still in the car.
They parked in front of the gate and Sidharth jumped out of the front seat and Shehnaaz team members who were already waiting for them there, came forward to help while Sidharth started running towards the gate as there were too many barriers to go through to follow covid rule.

"Shidrath bahi, Shehnaaz mame, Paprazi was yelling while taking pics. Sidharth just rushed to the gate while Shehnaaz tried to match his speed and at one point she kind of ran to catch him. She was very angry and irritated thinking that now he was rushing things and making her panic.
