Chapter 3
It's starts with his mother.
Kawarama is trembling as he clings to Tobirama's side but is mindful of itama his baby brother held in his older brother's embrace . Hashirama holds Tobirama's cold hand in his own and butsuma is nowhere to be seen as the senju heirs stand over their mother's open casket.
The Hatake princess in death is as pale and as beautiful as she was in life , she layes in a bed of red roses and pink Gypsophila. Her long white hair is sprawled around her body like the flowing curtains of a waterfall , the previously blue coloured seal gem on her forehead is now cracked and gray and Her mesmerising ruby red eyes are closed in eternal sleep .

Trying not to let his hand shake in his brother's hold , Tobirama pulls away and turns slowly to face hashirama , his injured palms sting as he clenches both hands into fists. Strangely, the pain helps him concentrate.
" He killed her " Tobirama whispers eyes wet and face blue and black with bruises .
" shhh " hashirama puts his hand on his brother's mouth to silence him"Tobirama!" He hisses eyes wide and frantic" someone might hear ,you'll get in trouble !" He slowly pulls his hand away and gently caresses his brother's injured arms .
Their father had always enjoyed using Tobirama as an outlet for all his anger .
"She was trying to protect me " Tobirama says softly " she said I wasn't to be sent to the front lines , he got mad __" the boy chokes on his words " he __" Tobirama shakes his head trying to push away the image of his father pushing his tanto into his mother's chest . So sorry __ I__ i killed her I killed her anija " he says shamefully.
"What?" Hashirama stares at him with sorrowful eyes ." No ,no , no " he shakes his head " this is not on you Tobirama , don't do that to yourself ototo do not take such burden " he pulls Tobirama and by extent his two other brother who keep clinging to him into his arms " it's not your fault tobi "
Tobirama shivers in his brother's arms, leaning heavily against him for a moment and then —
"I will kill him , he will pay for her life " his whispers into his brother's chest and hashirama's hold tightens around him .

The night he buries his mother Tobirama seeks his cousin touka and he begs and pleads like the child he hasn't ever been for her to agree to tattoo him. Three red marks on his face as a pledge of protection for his brothers .
The very next morning Tobirama is sent to front lines for the first time.
Tobirama fights and then he keeps fighting. For an entire year Tobirama is away from his brothers and he sees and nothing but blood and pain and grousoum deaths .
On the battlefield He is stabbed , and burned and poisoned and electrocuted and he makes it out until __
he is caught in uchiha red Eyes and Somewhere in the aether between his mind, his soul and his chest, a loose gearwheel falls out of place,it sends him into days and days of feverish agony where His mind gets stuck in blood painted illusions of endless demise for far too long
and Tobirama can't find a way out .

When he comes back to himself he's in his room , there's is a healer on one side of his bed and a sobbing Hashirama on the other . Tobirama looks down at himself and then at the kunai stuck in his tight and smiles weakly at his brother .
"Thank you ...anija " he says softly and Hashirama only cries harder .

Tobirama is ordered to stay home after that incident because apparently he has been weak and Butsuma had decided that he needs to be taught a lesson .
