In a few weeks, it will be Etzia's Juvenitte is the date when she was born. The family was having breakfast and starting their day.

Etzia

(without looking up) So... the countdown begins. Just a few weeks until the annual 'celebration.'

Kalise

(sipping her coffee) Right. The time we mandate ourselves to acknowledge another year of existence. Fascinating.

Etzia

(dryly) Fascinating is one word for it. Do we even know why we bother?

Kalise

Tradition, I suppose. A reminder that we're still here, still functioning.

 Etzia

Functioning. Like machines programmed to tick off another birthday. Should we practice a cheer or something?

Kalise

(raising an eyebrow) A cheer would be pointless. We're not cheerleaders for our own lives.

Etzia

Exactly. So why the fuss over a birthday? It's not like anyone will suddenly feel...something.

Kalise

(pausing) It's not about feeling. It's about acknowledging a timeline.

Etzia

(finally meets her gaze) A timeline marked by what?

Kalise

Perhaps. Yet, some find solace in the routine.

Etzia

(looking back down) Solace. A curious concept.

Kalise

(deadpan) Think of it as a schedule. That might ease the impending day of acknowledgment.

Etzia

Sure, it is part of our agenda.

(They both return to their breakfast, the silence hanging heavy, yet oddly comfortable.)

The light council got rid of the chase of Etzia, the citizens don't know about the chase.

The mother went to the kitchen and saw her daughter making breakfast, and she went to help in the kitchen because every family has their own role in the house.

It was time for breakfast. Everyone was gathered around the table.

Mom

"Riette. Remember you have to clean your room after having your breakfast. It has been days that you haven't cleaned your room, so this needs you to finished today."

Riette

"Oh Mom!"

Mom

"Never mind "Oh Mom!" The sooner you get started the sooner you finish. And try to be more responsible."

Kalise

"What happened to you? You have never been messy before."

Riette

"I am moved that I am going to school for the first time, and I was choosing which stuff I could bring to school."

Veerk

"But you still have a few more months until school starts."

Mom

"Riette. I know you are excited, but you can forget your responsibilities in your house. But before you know it, soon you will become a grown person, and I know sometimes you feel alone in the house because I know your siblings have other responsibilities and you find ways to find your own things.

Dad

"Riette, for now, promise me you never ignore your responsibilities when you become too focused on something."

Riette

"Dad, I promised."

Dad

(clears his throat) Etzia, your Juvenitte is coming up. Any thoughts on what you want this year?

The family wants to know if you have anything in mind."

Etzia

"Anything is fine as long useful to me. And is it okay to spend time with my acquaintances the day before my Juvenitte because I know Juvenitte is the day to spend time with the family when you are born."

It's a big day for you, maybe. For me, it's just a day. Besides, I'm not asking for much—just a bit of space.

Dad

"Fine as long as you are with your family in Juvenitte."

Etzia

"Thanks! Dad"
