It was a rainy day and Zoro was lying on his futon, with a red nose and sweaty forehead. Kairi came inside his bedroom with a fold of wet fabric.

"I heard that this is how to treat your fever, Zoro." She placed the folded fabric gently on top of Zoro's forehead, "You shouldn't practice outside in the rain."

"I have no other choice... I made a promise to Kuina that I will become the strongest swordsman that ever lived in this world." Zoro toughens himself, looking at Kairi who had a worried expression.

"I know... I won't stop you from that dream either but seeing you sick makes me sad." Kairi pouts, looking at his red nose, "Friend Kuina won't be happy if she saw you like this either."

Zoro stared at Kairi for a while, "Kuina and I made a promise and I'll never break it, you know that Kairi."

"Hmm... I know-" Kairi started coughing, wheezing a little bit as she hit her chest repeatedly.

"Hey, are you alright Kairi?" Zoro asked, seeing Kairi going into a coughing fit.

"Ye..ah..." She coughed non-stop before finally stopping but then collapsing on top of Zoro's body.

"Kairi..." Zoro muttered, widening his eyes as he forced himself to sit up and assist Kairi. He was panicking himself, he saw how Kairi seemed to be passed out.

"Kairi! Wake up!!" Zoro's head pounded in pain but he ignored that feeling and slowly stood up, running into his desk. He recently got a historical book about sea maidens and all about them, just in case he needs to use it for his reasons.

He flipped to the page that had his small bookmarks, he signed some of each page with a mark - containing important, likes, dislikes, etc. He flipped to the page where it had very important written on it.

"Mermaids can go on land only if they're hydrated enough. They can stay in land as long as they want but they need to stay in touch with water - can be drinking water or soaking in water." Zoro read out loud.

He glanced at Kairi who was unconscious on his futon, "She must forget to stay hydrated while being on land..."

Zoro ran towards Kairi and picked her up gently, grunting as he made his way to the bathroom where he leaned Kairi onto the bathroom walls. He turned on the tap for the shower to turn on.

Water started to shower Kairi up as Zoro watched from outside the shower if Kairi would wake up after getting hydrated back.

Kairi's eyebrows furrowed as she slowly began to open her eyes, her legs had some hints of glimmering ombre scales as she looked around her in confusion.
