Most girlfriends long to hear those three little words. Me on the other hand? I hear those all the time. Believe me, I love it, I love having a boyfriend who isn't afraid of saying he loves me. It was more shocking to hear two little words, just two, from my boyfriend.

I'm sorry.

When your boyfriend is Montgomery De La Cruz, you learn to not expect those words after a fight or something.

He shows his affection and apologizes in a different way.

Usually through little gifts and kisses, hugs, and cuddles.

Which is why the first time he said I'm sorry to me, I was in total shock.

I still remember it like it was yesterday.

Flashback

"Come on, y/n, you're being a bitch," Monty says to me, after I asked him not to go to Bryces tonight.

"I'm not being a bitch because I want to spend time with my boyfriend! You go to Bryces every weekend, when is it my turn to spend a weekend with you?!" I ask him

"You see me every day!"

"And? So does Bryce, and Scott, and Zach, and so on! I'm your girlfriend for goodness sake! Can't I be a priority for once?"

"Talk to me when you're ready to stop being a controlling bitch," He says, walking out of my bedroom.

I sigh, collapsing on my bed. I feel a single tear roll down my cheek, quickly wiping it off.

I open my phone to doomscroll for a few hours to distract myself from my boyfriend.

After a few hours, once my anger has dissipated, I hear a knock at the front door, and after realizing I'm home alone and that I have to go get it, I head to the door, unlocking and opening it.

On the other side stands Monty, a single rose in hand along with my favorite candy.

"I'm sorry for what I said earlier, baby," he says before I can say anything.

"I'm sorry, what was that?" I ask, not believing my ears.

He sighs. "I'm sorry for what I said, can I please come in now?"

"Did the Montgomery De La Cruz just say that he's sorry? I think I have to get that on video, just to prove that it actually happened!" I joke, letting him in the house.

I take the rose and candy from him, placing them on the kitchen counter.

I hop up on it, opening my legs enough for him to stand between them.

"Is my apology accepted?" He asks me, standing between my legs and placing his hands on my hips.

"Mmm, I need one more thing before i can fully forgive you," I tease.

"And what might that be?" He asks, leaning his head closer to mine.

"I think you know what it is," I whisper, and right as the words leave my mouth, he presses his lips to mine sweetly.

"Apology accepted," I say, hopping off the counter and dragging him to my room.

Sorry this is so short, it just came to me and I had to write it.
