Chapter Forty-Eight

Guzel's POV:

I am now five month's pregnant, Hurrem and I have become friends.... best friends you would say. I never thought I would see the day that would ever happen. So far the Valide has kept the peace. But Hurrem has mention Leo's book, the last person I herd that had it was Mahidevran.

"Hurrem don't worry, I'll get that book before she give it to the Valide." I get up and head to Mahidevran's room. 

"Guzel." She says with an attitude in her voice.

"Mahidevran you have something I want and you will give it to me." I tell her.

"And what is that?" She says.

"The book, hand it over now." I demanded.

"What book?" She says.

"You know what I am talking about. Hand it over or I'll have this room torn apart looking for it." 

"You can't do that!" She states.

"I'm Haseki Guzel Sultana, I can and I will. Now hand over the book!" She hesitated then went over to her closet and grabbed to book. I opened it to make sure it was the right one at it was.

"His Majesty will hear about this!" She threatens.

"Go ahead and try. You have a perfect relationship with him, I can ruin that within seconds. Do you know what fixed that Mahidevran? I did, I fixed it and I can break it." After that I leave hurrying to my room. As soon as I get there I see the fire going on and I immediately place it in the middle of the fire. Hoping that it will burn faster.

"If anyone asks you did see this and I never threatened to ruin Mahidevran's relationship with Suleyman." I tell Hurrem. We both watch the fire, the book is almost destroyed... consumed by the flames. We both can hear foot steps getting closer and closer to the room. The book is seconds away from being no more, gone from this worlds. Then the doors open... its Suleyman.

"My love, I missed you!" I try to play it off as nothing ever happened.

"My Rose, how are you and our child doing?" He says with happiness in his voice.

"We are wonderful, Hurrem has been taking great care of me." I look back at her taking a quick glimpse of the fire and finally the book is gone.

"That's wonderful to hear. I wanted to talk to you about something." He says to me.

"Is everything alright?" I ask.

"Mahidevran came to me and said you threatened her. Is this true?" He asked me.

"She threated me first You Majesty. She told me that she would kick me out of the palace because I am friends with Guzel. Hurrem says I'm going to hurt her child, Guzel was only sticking up for me." He stops, doesn't say anything for a moment.

"You are too kind my Rose." He says to me as he kisses me on the forehead.

"I'll have another talk with Mahidevran." He says then he leaves, I sigh in relief.

"Thank you Hurrem, you know you didn't have to do that." I tell her.

"You would have done the same thing for me." She says.

"I know this will end the peace in the palace now." I say to her.
