"Gum gum... pistol!" Winding far back he released his stretchy arm, only not hitting the bottle but one of the bars stools. "Luffy, can't you practice somewhere else?" Makino questioned with a scold.
"I can fix it. Got any glue?"
"It's not the chair i'm worried about" She muttered. "you need to be careful with your new abilities. I know it's exciting but there might be some people who'll be afraid of you now that you're.... different."
Cleaning off the bars counter. "I like being different. Plus as long as [y/n] isn't scared of me i'll be fine. These devil fruit powers are gonna make me the greatest pirate ever." Trying to figure out how to fix the stool.
"Luffy,.... What do you know about devil fruits?" Crossing her arms as she stared at the young boy. "They don't taste very good." He stated. "No two are the same." Taking a seat next to luffy.
"You see, they each grant you a unique ability, but theres a reason they're called devil fruits. It's because of the deal you make when you eat one. Mother ocean turns her back on you and the sea can take your strength away."
Makino explained. "All I know is that the gum gum fruit is worth more than all of shank's treasure, and I ate it, so that makes me worth more."
Smiling proudly as he continued to try and fix the stool. "You ever heard, 'theres no such thing as a free lunch?'"
"Is it lunchtime." Snapping out of his thought at the mention of food. Chuckling she hands him some glue. "How about you put my chair back together and i'll see what I can find in the kitchen?"
Nodding makino leaves and shanks walks over from the docks. "Shanks! You gotta see what I can do now. Gum gum-"
"Luffy no! I'm running out of furniture." Cleaning off the counter with a rag. "Listen to the lady, luffy. Are these--" Gesturing to some crates. "Couple more in the back."
