Everything will get better

It was a normal day for seventeen as they planned to shoot a video for gose. Today they'll be playing a ball game for content, of course everyone was excited as all of them were competitive when it came to games.

Everything was going smoothly as usual, members making the others effortlessly laugh with jokes while others were making silly poses with the ball. Especially hoshi with the horanghae pose.

Everyone was having a good time with one another, but fate decided to have other plans. Seungcheol suddenly landed his feet wrong which injured his left knee. Everyone froze as they saw their leader suddenly on the floor, clutching his left knee with pain evident on his face.

Medical staff quickly helped him as some of the members carried him onto a wheel chair. They rushed him to the hospital as the medical staff saw the injury was more serious than they thought.

The members waited anxiously for the news about their leader's condition. The manager came out and brought the news to them that seungcheol would have to need surgery performed as his left knee sustained a tear to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

Everyone suddenly became stressed about the situation, their manager assured that their leader would be fine and that they are all dismissed for now to go home and rest as the staff are going to look after seungcheol.

The members couldn't do anything but agree, one by one everyone left to go to their respective vans and was dropped off to their homes.

Once seungcheol received the news about his current condition, his mind went blank. He didn't expect any of this to happen. They were going to have a tour soon, so this definitely stressed him out.

The doctors stated he should undergo pre-surgery medical treatment before having surgery, to which he agreed to since he wanted to recover as fast as possible for his members and carats.

So for the next few days he went under treatment before finally getting the surgery. It took a few hours before the surgeon declared to the manager that the surgery was successful which made the manager ease up as he was tense all throughout.

Seungcheol was released after three days in the hospital and was told to rest. He needed to wear a leg brace as well as use crutches and a wheel chair as he couldn't really move his leg much with the brace. He was told to rest for a few months until his knee was healed, he then would need to undergo physical therapy before being able to go back to his normal life.

Fast-forward to now, Seungcheol laid on his bed bored as he could barely move due to his knee injury, he already had surgery performed and was therefore recovering right now in his shared house with his brother. He was currently alone as his brother took their dog kkuma out for a walk which left him utterly bored as he scrolled through different social media platforms to check on what his members were doing.

After a while he turned his phone off. Seungcheol stared at the ceiling for what seemed to be the nth time today before sighing, there were a few tears forming on the corners of his eyes. He didn't want to be dramatic and cry but he couldn't control his emotions right now. Seungcheol hated feeling helpless and weak as he always portrayed a strong character up front to him and his members. But here he was feeling useless as he couldn't do anything for them and for himself.

The tears slowly slipped down on his cheek as he couldn't stop them anymore from flowing, he turned to his side slowly, trying to let himself succumb to sleep as it was the only thing he could do right now. His tear-stained pillow was the only one who knew of his immeasurable frustration and sadness.
