"Now that everyone has settled in and been sorted, I'd like to make an announcement," Dumbledore said, stepping up onto the podium at the very front of the great hall. The buzz of anticipation filled the air as the students shifted in their seats, eager to hear what their headmaster had to say.

"This castle will not only be your home this year but home to some very special guests as well," Dumbledore revealed, his voice carrying a note of excitement. The students exchanged curious glances, trying to guess who these special guests could be.

Suddenly, Filch, the caretaker, walked up onto the stage and whispered something into Dumbledore's ear. The two engaged in a brief but intense conversation, their expressions showing annoyance and concern. The students watched as Filch eventually left the great hall, leaving Dumbledore to continue his speech.

"So... Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event – the Triwizard Tournament!" Dumbledore announced, his voice filled with excitement and anticipation. The students in the great hall erupted into cheers and whispers of excitement, their attention fully captured by the revelation.

Oliver's gaze shifted towards Henry's table and saw his face light up with visible excitement. It was clear that the prospect of the Triwizard Tournament had ignited a spark within Henry, and Oliver couldn't help but feel a sense of shared enthusiasm.

"Now, for those who don't know, the Triwizard Tournament brings together three prestigious schools for a series of magical contests," Dumbledore continued, his voice carrying an air of importance. "From each school, a single student is selected to compete, representing their respective institutions. However, let me be clear – if chosen, you stand alone. These contests are not for the faint of heart."

The students fell silent, their anticipation hanging thick in the air as Dumbledore paused, letting the weight of his words sink in. The idea of being chosen to represent Hogwarts in such a prestigious and demanding competition filled the room with a mix of nervousness and excitement.

"But for now, let us extend a warm welcome to the lovely ladies from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic!"

The doors to the great hall swung open abruptly, revealing a group of elegantly dressed girls wearing coordinated blue dresses and hats. As they entered, all eyes were drawn to their entrance, their presence marked by poise and grace. Following closely behind them was a woman who stood out for her incredible height, her presence demanding immediate attention.

"And their esteemed headmistress, Madam Maxine!" Dumbledore's voice echoed through the hall as the towering lady made her way into the room.

Oliver couldn't help but gasp in surprise at the sight of Madam Maxine. Her size was truly astonishing, and he whispered a stunned, "Good Lord," to himself.

As the girls dispersed throughout the room, one of them unexpectedly stopped in front of Oliver. With a warm smile, she handed him an intricately folded origami heart. Surprised and unsure how to respond, Oliver managed to mutter a quick "Uh, thanks" before she continued her walk towards the center stage.

However, before Oliver could fully process the unexpected gift, Hermione snatched it from his hand and swiftly tore it into pieces. Ron, who was sitting beside them, couldn't help but exclaim, "Blimey, Hermione!"

The room erupted into cheers as Dumbledore stood back on the stage. Oliver glanced over at Hermione, noticing the sour look on her face. It seemed there was something bothering her, but he couldn't quite figure out what it was.

"Now for our esteemed guests from the north," Dumbledore announced with a flourish. "Please welcome the proud sons of Durmstrang and their esteemed headmaster, Igor Karkaroff!"

A group of strong-looking boys filed into the great hall, all wearing rugged fur coats. Each of them carried large sticks that they slammed into the ground with every step, creating a thunderous rhythm that filled the room. The sound resonated through the air, commanding the attention of everyone present.

As the boys continued to enter, the great hall fell into a hushed silence, all eyes fixed upon this impressive display. The intensity and power emanating from the Durmstrang students made it clear that they were a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming Triwizard Tournament.

Suddenly, a figure stepped forward, capturing the attention of the room. It was none other than the legendary Quidditch player, Victor Krum. The atmosphere shifted as murmurs of awe and excitement rippled through the crowd.

"Blimey, it's him!" Ron whispered, his voice filled with admiration and wonder.

Oliver turned to look at Isabella, who was next to him, and was taken aback by her enthusiasm. "Oh my God, Victor Krum is right in front of me!!!" she exclaimed, slapping Oliver's shoulder multiple times in her excitement.
