Dirty Little Secret

Chapter 1 - Who the flippity-flap is that

"Could he be any more talented? Like, seriously... his voice is so.... raspy and manly." Kira is so obsessed. As she keeps rambling on about some... punk or Rock and Roll or something artist, I work on finishing my origami crane. Bored out of my mind, as usual when she talks about "Pierce the Brides" Or whatever.

"Oh my God, Kira. Shut. up. You've been talking about this Andy Ballsack guy for-" I check my watch "one hour and seventeen minutes, you nutcase."

She looks over at me, her heavily lined eyes widening in rage way too big for the situation.

"Andy Biersack, Zoey. Andy Biersack!" She screams, flopping backwards onto my yellow bed-set. She always gets so touchy about this subject... Why is it such a big deal with her? It's not like I get mad when she calls 'The Weekend' something like 'The Weekday'... It's actually kind of funny. She's so upset, though... it's kind of unhealthy. For example, when she found out that Ashley (who apparently is not a girl) started dating some chick I found her sobbing in her room grasping a poster. When I asked her what was wrong, she said, "He must really like her, he's never done something like this... he ussually fucks 'em and leaves 'em..." I don't even know anymore... They are all she ever talks about. Where my room is covered in yellow, blue, and pictures of my friends; her room is covered in BvB posters and black. Oh! and whatever a warped tour is? She has warped tour stuff all over her room. Who needs Warped tour chopsticks?

"Zoey! Are you even listening to me?"

"What?"

"Are you even listening to this song? I'm trying to play and amazing song called Knives and Pens for you and you're daydreaming?!" She is always trying to play these songs for me, but somehow my mind is always off somewhere else. I have never heard one single song from Black Veil Brides.

"Uck- I gotta go, the BVB group chat starts at 2:30"

Clothing.... what clothing do I have to wear to this Warped Tour thing. I sigh, sitting in the middle of my floor, every single article of my clothing surrounding me. About to pull out the old bin of clothing from when I was a sophmore in high school, my phone starts ringing. I hope It isn't Kira calling to see if I've planned my outfit yet, because she'll get mad when I tell her that its... really, really not. I pick up my phone, and swipe the little answer thingy.

"...Kira?" I ask, cringing slightly.

"No, it's your Mom."

Oh. I let out a quick sigh, "Hey, mom. I thought you were Kira calling to yell at me."

"Okay, well, no, it's me calling to say that I'm in the airport right now, the plane's taking off in..." There's crackling on the other end as she checks the time, "about twenty minutes."

"Okay, cool. Tell Aunty I said hi." Mom's going to Kansas to visit my Aunt Lindsey. She's kind of crazy, so my mom and her other sister take turns taking care of her when she goes through a breakup or loses her job.

"May I ask why Kira is going to yell at you?"

"She bought two tickets to Warped tour for her and her friend Shane but Shane bailed so she asked me to come so she wouldn't have to go alone... and for the life of me I can not find a Warped Tour appropriate outfit... and it's tomorrow."

"What's Warped tour?"

"I didn't really know when she asked, but apparently It's like this thing where a bunch of bands do concerts in one whole event."

"Oh! Where that band... what is it, 'Greenday' be there?"

"Um... no I don't think so. It's more like... punk bands."

"I didn't know you enjoyed jamming to those kinds of genres"

"Um... one, don't say jamming and two, I don't really like these bands... I'm just going for Kira."

"Okay, well you should probably find an outfit, Zoe."

"Yah... I know.. I'm kind of stalling because ALL MY CLOTHING IS CHEERFUL BAHHH!"

"Bye, Zoe-Zoe."

"Bye, mom."
