Chapter 10

Cara's POV:

I slowly woke up, feeling my soul return to my body. I looked around, seeing I'm in my familiar room. I slowly sat up, before immediately laying back down when I feel a pounding feeling in my head.

"Cara.." I hear another familiar voice say. Again, I already know who it is.

"Hi" She says, sitting right beside me on my bed. I didn't think twice before wrapping my arms around her and and hugging her tightly.

She hugged me even tighter, wrapping her hands around my back, as my head was laying on her shoulder. After a few moments, I pulled back, before sitting up in my bed.

"What happened?" I ask her. She gives me a concerning look, before letting out a sigh.

——-*Flashback*——-
Alexa's POV:

Its our last hour of the day. I was on my way to the last hour of the day, which again, I don't share with cara. As I was walking in the halls, a few students started to stare at me. Then a few students turned into most of the students. I gave a confused look to them, as I kept walking away.

I heard people whispering, but I couldn't hear what they were talking about.

"Okay what the fuck are you all looking at?" I asked, now in a pissed off mood.

"Look" Some random girl says, showing me her phone. I gave her a confused look, before grabbing her phone.

There was pictures. Tons. Me and Cara in the locker room that day. Me and Cara kissing in the parking lot, and a few more. My eyes widened, as my jaw slowly dropped.

Im gay. I like girls. And I don't have a problem telling people.

"Im gay, if you didn't know" I announce. Everyone looks at me, before the girl speaks up again.

"But..Cara isn't..right?" She asks me. And thats when my heart sunk to the bottom of my stomach, creating an empty pit. I zoned out, ignoring every person and every word they were saying to me.

Cara isn't gay. No, Cara is gay. I think. She just isn't out, not even to herself. My heart started besting faster and faster at the fact. She wasn't ready. She wasn't ready for people to know, hell she was still confused herself.

Without thinking, my feet started moving at a quick pace. I navigated my way through the students, which sent me confused glares, as I ran in the halls to find Cara's last class. It took me a minute to get there.

There she was.

Cara was blanked out, standing by her locker. I watched as she slowly stumbled back, falling flat into the locker behind her.

"CARA!" I screamed, before making my way over to her. My heart was beating out of my chest, faster than its ever been before.

She didn't respond, but her body slid down her locker, almost looking like she was about to fall asleep.

"CARA!" I yelled again, before reaching her. Her skin was cold, and her eyes were shut. There was no movement coming from her. A tear left my eye, before I picked her up in my arms. I carried her by her back and thighs, making sure to be so careful to not drop her. She was in a completely fragile state.

I rushed out of the school, before getting as quick as I could to my car. I unlocked it, before carefully placing Cara in the passenger seat. Without putting on my seatbelt, I pressed hard on the gas and made my way to Cara's house.

I pulled up in the driveway, realizing nobody was home. I quickly picked her up once again, before running into her house, making my way up the stairs and opening her bedroom door. I quickly laid her down on her bed, before checking her wrists.

She was still breathing.

I then sat on the side of her bed, looking at the girl laying in bed, wondering if I really knew her in the first place.

——-*Flashback Ending*——-

Cara's POV:

"So thats what happened" Alexa says, looking into my eyes with the sweetest look i've ever seen her give me.

"Thank you.. so much" I say, sitting against my headboard.

"Always." She says, giving me a comforting smile. She carefully reaches out, before grabbing my hand and intertwining them together. My heart fluttered at her actions.

"Who knows?" I ask her, looking down at our locked hands. She lets out a small sigh, before replying.

"Kinda everyone. They don't know if its true, and I don't even know if it's true either. Thats what I need you to do, Cara." She says.

"Do what?" I ask

"Figure yourself out for fucks sake. Cara, I don't know how much I need to tell you this. But, I like you, Cara. More than a friend. With all this sneaking around and with the other night and all the flirting that has been happening between us, I couldn't help but fall for you. I need you to figure this out now. Do you like me or not? I don't want my feelings to get played with here." She says sternly, making me choke on my words. Ny heartbeat starts to take speed up, taking skips. The butterflies swarmed my stomach, making me unaware of anything.

She..likes me? More than a friend? Do I like her?

"Please Cara" She says, almost in a mumble. I look at her, scare if what to say.

"Alexa I.." I start, losing all words. She gives me the most comforting look in her eyes, waiting for my answer.

I wait for a moment, before shaking my head softly, letting out a low chuckle. She gave me a confusing look.

I then grabbed the back of her neck, before crashing her lips onto mine. Her lips moved sensually against mine, into a sweet but rough kiss. I never wanted to pull away, no matter how much oxygen I have left. Sadly, I had to.

I slowly pulled away, leaning my forehead against hers, waiting a second before opening my eyes. We shared a few breaths, before she spoke up again.

"Is that a yes?" She says, giving me a smile. I let out a little laugh, smiling sweetly at her.

"Are you an idiot? Yes" I say, letting out a breath. Her face froze completely, before giving me the biggest smile on earth. She then leaned in,  pressing her lips onto mine. I smiled against her lips, before bringing her even closer than ever. Her hands rested on my hips, pulling me closer to her.

I straddled her waist, as I collided our bodies together, never wanting to stop kissing her. A few moments later, she pulled away. Our breaths were heavy, as we both panted for breath.

"So, will you be my girlfriend?" She asked me.

I went cold at her question.

"Im not out to anybody, but Im willing to give this a try. But, we have to be a secret to my mom. Which means none of this when shes over, got it?" I say, giving her a stern look.

"Of course" She says
