As an author and a reader, I try to keep the appearance of the main character vague because I want readers of all shapes and sizes to be able to feel comfortable and be able to freely visualize themselves however they please in the story. This typically includes refences to hair, eye, and skin color, etc. However, I also want to include some visualization for readers who might have a harder time coming up with something like clothes for their version of the main character.

The outfits described below come from Shining Nikki and Love Nikki, respectively. The first outfit (March's) is just the top and bottoms from the Nightfall Nebula set with the boots from the Mercenary Queen set, both of which are from Shining Nikki. The second outfit (Himeko's) is the Feminine Chivalry set from Love Nikki.

Once again, I'd just like to remind you guys that, you as the reader, can imagine how your main character looks! That's the beauty of a Reader Insert-type of story, honestly.

After March and Himeko were done playing dress-up with my figure, we were eventually down to two options. March's outfit consisted of a black clothing set with subtle, golden, celestial detailing along the sleeves of the sheer coat over a black tank top with a crescent moon print. The shorts, which looked more like a skirt at first, tied in with the top using a belt March found that had a golden chain that could attach onto the shorts. For shoes, March, and even Himeko, both agreed upon a pair of laced-up, black heeled boots.

For Himeko's outfit, she decided on a short dress that had no sleeves. The dress had dark branches and white flowers growing on them and a white lace trim on both the top and the bottom. Himeko found a coat with mid-length sleeves that went with the dress. The sleeves of the coat looked like the petals of a flower. At the bottom of the coat was a small, sheer cape that fluttered in the wind when you walked. For shoes, Himeko had a pair of hosiery that matched with the dress and short heels that were pretty easy to walk in compared to most.

Ultimately, I decided to go with (March's/Himeko's) outfit in the end. Once I was dressed in my new attire, March grinned happily.

"You look so pretty in those! This was so much fun! It's been awhile since we've been able to do something like this, right Himeko?" She asks and the scarlet-haired woman nodded with a small smile.

"You're right... I think it's been a few warp cycles since we've been able to relax like this. Well, now that clothing is out of the way, why don't we get you situated in a room on the Express, (Y/N)." Himeko mentioned. Immediately, I felt unsure.

"These clothes you've both picked out for me is more than enough. As an immortal being, I don't need to eat and sleep like you do. So, there's no need to go above and beyond for me." Besides, it's not like it's guaranteed that I'm going to stay with the Astral Express. Himeko gave me a knowing smile.

"Nonsense. You're a member of the Astral Express now, regardless of how long you plan on staying here. Even if you plan on leaving after the next stop, wouldn't it be nice to have your own safe place to relax? There's more than enough room on the Express for you. Honest." I hesitated, but ultimately nodded.

"Alright..." Why does Himeko seem so sure that I'll want to stay with them? The question ran rampant through my mind as we walked down the hallway. March points out the other two rooms as we make our way into the next passenger carriage.

"The third and fourth rooms in this hallway are Himeko and Mr. Yang's. Himeko's always smells like the coffee she brews and I've never really seen Mr. Yang's room before. Whenever I've tried to take a peak, the door just doesn't seem to want to open." March explains as we step foot into the next carriage. Himeko opens up the first door and upon glancing in, it seems to be a fairly simple room with a bed in the far left corner. There was a desk and a chair set up against the window that gazed out into the space around the Express. All in all, a simple room. It was more than enough for my needs.
