Xavier was your average 18-year-old high school student, an only child of terrible parents that he loved and hated at the same time. Xavier had black hair that covered his forehead in a modern-day emo style, he had bright green eyes, a soft smooth face, and a kind smile. Just by looking at him, you'd think he had it all, you'd think he had it all together, but sadly that was far from the truth.

Monday was the same, Xavier got out of bed at 6 am sharp and began his morning routine before school. He took a nice warm shower, washed his hair, brushed his teeth, and put on some nice-looking clothes. Once he was done he went back into his bedroom to slip on his boots and favorite beanie, he grabbed his phone, car keys, and backpack, it was now 6:30 am. He rushed downstairs to make a piece of toast, he put grape jam on it and left out the front door. He headed to his Blue Toyota Camry, which was recently bought for him by his dad as an "I'm sorry" gift, his dad was known to buy apology gifts. Xavier started the engine, pulled out of the driveway, and headed to school. He turned his radio on and played his "EMO" playlist, he jammed out to the music, feeling every word and beat as he sang every word to "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing" by his favorite band Set It Off. Xavier felt like he connected to the song because of his ex, who was indeed a wolf in sheep's clothing. Before he allowed himself to feel sad he arrived at school, he took a deep breath and sigh of relief. He parked, got out, and went inside.

The halls were full of noisy teens, Xavier went to his locker, where his only friend was waiting for him. He greeted the taller blue-haired male named Lucas, "Hey Xa"  He responded with a happy smile, not seeing Xavier all weekend due to being grounded. Xavier put his backpack in his locker after grabbing his workbooks, he and his friend headed to their first class.

3 classes later, Xavier and Lucas go to lunch and sit at their table after getting their trays, they both sit down slightly close to each other, making Xavier's face turn red a bit. He did have a small crush on his best friend, though, he wasn't sure if Lucas was LGBTQ. So he never said anything, but recently Lucas has become more clingy and often slept the night at his house every weekend.

Xavier had hoped this was a sign that Lucas liked him too, but he decided he would ask about it tomorrow, having hope made him happy inside for once in a long time. He and Lucas finished their lunch and went upstairs to their lockers, they grabbed their bags and left the building, they parted ways and went home.
