Xavier arrived home from school, parked his car in the driveway, and went into the house, he headed to the kitchen where his mom was cooking dinner, he ignored her and grabbed an apple from the fridge "How was school?" She asked in a meh tone. Xavier responded with a simple "good", He left the kitchen and went upstairs to his room.

He laid on his bed, pulled out his phone, and opened Twitter, He looked through his messages and saw Lucas had texted him.

Xavier blushed at his phone and smiled a bit, he decided to take a quick shower and change into some PJs.

He put on "The NeverEnding Story" one of Lucas's favorite movies, He paused it and ran downstairs to grab lots of snacks and drinks, bringing them up to his room, He sat down and waited for Lucas to arrive.

Lucas had been there for at least half an hour, and Xavier thought it was the perfect time to ask.
Xavier: "Lucas?"
Lucas: "Yeah?"
Xavier: "Do you like me? Not like a friend but more?"
Lucas blushed and stuttered
Lucas: "I-I... I guess I make it obvious, don't I?"
Xavier chuckled softly and nodded
Lucas: "You've caught me"
Xavier: "Don't worry, I like you too"

Lucas decided to drop the question, "So do you want to go out with me?" He said with a confident tone, looking into the eyes of his best friend of 10 years. Xavier was taken aback, being frozen for a second, but he ended up smiling and nodded his head "Yeah I'd like that very much" The boys sealed it with a kiss.
It seemed like the night would end great, as Lucas agreed to spend the night. Their lips were against one another once again, and at that moment, Xavier's dad stormed in drunk out of his mind and began to cause a scene.
Xavier's Dad: "I knew I had a faggot for a son, so this is what you two do when you're here"
Xavier: "No, Dad, we don't~!"
Without hesitation, his dad walked closer, causing Xavier to get up and move away from Lucas, not wanting him to get hurt. Once his dad was close he raised his hand bringing it down across Xavier's face, the slapping sound filling the room.
All Xavier could do was accept it, blood dripped from his lip. His dad on the other hand was satisfied, he left the room spitting out all kinds of slurs such as "Cocksucker, Fairy, Sissy" It hurt Xavier to be called such names by his father.
Lucas went over to close and lock the door, he walked over to his boyfriend and pulled him into a tight loving hug, he said it would be okay, he took him to the bathroom, and cleaned up his lip.

They were in bed cuddling and watching the rest of the movie, Once it went off Xavier turned the TV off and they both went to sleep.
