Milo's POV:
Surprisingly I went home last night like nothing happened got into bed and went to sleep. In the morning it hits me the head ache the bruised face the crusty blood coving my face. I nearly gag when I look at myself in the mirror quickly deciding to step in the shower and clean off the fight. Finally things start to piece itself together in my head me and regret starts to hit me not for hurting him for what this could mean for me. I'm going to get into so much trouble. Shit what if I get kicked off the team. No I can't think like that and chose to just block it out and went about my day like nothing happened. I spoke to Lacey briefly and it didn't end well so I just avoided her at all costs and I think she knows I need time due to how she hasn't even try to speak me all day despite my bruised face.
'Milo Finch please report to the PE office' The school announcement came through making me physically cringe. Dear God here it is I made my way to the office already accepting my fate and not backing out I opened the door.
'Why is he here' I practically yelled after scanning the people which consists of My coach Dylan's coach and then my eyes landing on the man himself.
'Yeh good question why am I here. Now that Finch is here can I please find out what's going on and why I've been dragged into this school.' He questioned turning away from me and looking at his coach.
' Okay now both of you are here I'm just going to get straight to the point whatever is going on between you needs to stop I don't care what it is so don't even try. The behaviour is not how a captain should act. This rivalry need to be stopped if not for yourself but for the team and we have taken it upon ourselves to help you along a bit.' My coach explained in a surprisingly professional voice.
Before me or Dylan had the chance to interject his coach continued.
' You are both to do an extra hour of training Monday to Thursday but just to two a private session to really share your skill and help one another. You would alternate which school pitch you would train at everyday. If you already have training that day you will just do it after. Obviously as you know Dylan we have training on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Whereas Milo has it on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. So on on Monday and Tuesday you will both have to do it later. Plus there is no way of getting out of it due to the CTV footage on the pitch we will watch to make sure you're both there on those days and even better on someday Me and Mr Riley (Milo's coach) will be in are offices that late anyway so we can do in person checks anyway.' Dylan's coach practically grinned enjoying this much more then he should.
My mouth hung open I have been left speechless once again, and now that I think about it I don't know which time was worst. Like started to blind rapidly almost like I was holding back tears when I glance at Dylan who was smiling when he suddenly burst out laughing.
'ahahahahah your joking this is some prank right?' Dylan asks in almost a pleading manner.
'You can't force me. There is no way I'm doing this I honestly can't come on coach' I begged.
'I'm sorry Milo but if one of you doesn't turn up to the training or doesn't agree to this at all you both are kicked off the team' My coach signs looking at me with a least a little bit of sympathy.
' haahahahah this is some weird joke guys I've got to give it to you' Dylan laughs clearly living in his own delusion. Once again I look at him and this time he looks at me with a smile on his face that does look slightly worries. We lock eyes and his smile slowly falls from his eyes and now I know we are both pulling the same face of horror.
'now come on boys its really not that bad you could of got suspended or even expelled' Mr Riley states.
'That would of been better like this is a punishment only a devil would create. I'm not doing this no way.' I argue anger entering my body after the initial shock.
' Right well I'm done with this conversation. I want to see both of you on the field after my practice' Dylan's coach says standing up and making his way out of his office.
Dylan's POV:
Slowly the shock is wearing off over the day but the information hasn't fully made it's way in yet despite all my friends teasing over the situation. Unfortunately reality was about to hit me fast due to how training is doing much faster than expecting with us already doing cool downs and the coach calling it for the day.
'Of course not for you Ledger. Have fun' My coach says in passing patting me on the back. I watch everyone filter off the field and into the changing rooms and out to there cars driving off. Then it hits me what if Milo doesn't turn up I'm going to be kicked off the fucking team for something that isn't even my fault. I waited for another 10 minutes before in my head I started to plan out all the way I would kill Milo before a figure starts to slowly make there way towards me.
Surprisingly a sigh of relief leaves my lips as Milo comes into view.
' Finch. I thought I was going to have to kill you' I joke half heartedly. However he ignores me completely getting a ball from the bag and starts to dribble it heading straight for the one goal let out for us to practice in ignoring me completely.
'This will be fun' I laugh to myself.
