𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙍𝙊𝙊𝙈 𝙒𝘼𝙎 𝙎𝙄𝙇𝙀𝙉𝙏 and the air awkward. More so because of the fact that Iris could stop the bouncing of her leg and her shakey breath. Agent Hotchner had been sitting silently on the other side of is desk reviewing Iris's file for the last ten minutes and it had knocked all Iris's confidence out the window. "Sir, I would just like to say its is an honor to even be concidered for a position in the BAU. It's been my dream since the academy," Iris gushed.
Agent Hotchner closed the file and lifted his head to look at the agent sitting across from him. "You have a very impressive file. Your undercover work in narcotics would be a useful asset to the team, but ━ ," Agent Hotchner's words were cut short as a short blonde entered his office without a knock. "Did you watch it?" she asked.
He nodded. "Yes. Think everybody should see it. Gather the team in the conference room, please," Hotchner asked, turning his attention back towards Iris. "I wish I had the time to finish this interview but we have just caught a time pressing case and I will need to reschedule for a later date," Agent Hotchner spoke.
He stood up from behind his desk and traveled towards the door. Iris followed him into the hallway. "Will all due respect Agent Hotchner, this is the third time I've applied to the BAU," Iris stopped her speech abruptly as she saw the look on Agent Hotchner's face. "I know that doesn't make me look any better, but," she started again.
Agent Hotchner nodded his head for her to continued. "The last time I was denied because of budget cuts and the first was because they said I wasn't the right face for the BAU. I've just gotten my foot in the door. Please, just me a chance to prove to you that I am good at this," Iris begged.
Agent Hotchner was quiet for a few moments, weighing his decisions. "Very well, this case will take the place of your interview," Hotchner agreed. Iris grinned, immeditally reaching for his hand. She shook it quite violently as she thanked him profusely. "Thank you Agent Hotchner. Thank you," she gushed.
