Chapter Two: The Roommate

I am suddenly awoken by morning announcements

"If you have not taken your morning meds please come do so, med room will close in 20 minutes," some unknown voice says

I jump out of bed and land gently on the icy cold floor. It is 8:30 am! I need to get ready for the day. I wash my bony petite face with icy cold water and brush my dark ebony dementia hair into a side braid. I braid flowers into my hair. 

Walking into the dorm I sit at my vanity apply my emo goth coquette girl makeup and get dressed for the day. I have on a long-sleeved sheer black shirt with an MCR tee on top paired with dark denim shorts. My dark emo Crocs are a must for this fit. I look at the time to see it is 10:30! Jeez, time sure does fly fast here. 

I make my way to the dining room to eat soggy hashbrowns and dry brittle biscuits. The biscuits remind me of me... pale, brittle, and no one wants them....

After I eat I make my way into my dorm again where I see my roommate finally moving in! 

"Hello, I am Eeah! I'm from Kerls" she says shining brighter than the sun itself.

"h-hi im y/n... I never heard of kerls" I reply 

"No one has, don't worryv!!!!>e2lemnkwlfuaeb" She somehow manages to pronounce

"ok. Welp, I have a meeting bye." I run to Teen frightened of missing this meeting.

I sit through another boring meeting half asleep and freezing cold. Then out of the corner of my eye, I see him... I know those feathers from anywhere

"We would like to introduce our school mascot who you will see at EVERY game! ACE THE EAGLE" 

The room erupts with cheers and I feel something within my light on fire as I too cheer for Ace! Our orbs lock together we are one in a whole in this one moment. He sends me a wink and my everything fills numb I feel my pale bony face go bright red I am practically a stop light. H-he actually noticed me and he winked at me !!!!!! 

Ace takes the microphone and says 

" SQUUUUAAAAA" 

My heart beats faster, somehow. He has the voice of an angel his words are so poetic. 

We are then led out Teen and even though I so desperately want to see him I know I HAVE to dress to impress and join a sports team or something to be able to see him more. 

When I entered my dorm my roommate was all settled in and surprisingly she decorated similarly to me.

 "What happened to all the sunshine?" I ask 

"It's just an act for my parents. I'm really just dark and mysterious They don't get me... no one does...." she says darkly

"yeah I get it..."

We get each other even if it is unspoken.

I take out the flowers in my hair and undo the side braid. Then I wash all my makeup off so my skin won't be mad at me. I shower and get into my onesie. It is one of my favorite ponies from My Little Horses, DashRainbow. I walk to the med bay and get my dose of pills. My petite frame feels shakey and my eyes heavy so I rush my way back to the dorm and pass out in my 50ft bed. 

The next morning I am awoken by Eeah yoga in bed. She said it helps get rid of any energies the normies try to give her so I joined in. Then I got dressed in a long-sleeved length black dress. I let my hair be in its natural state. No makeup today I am not in the mood. Me and my roommate share a cup of Dark Mysterious Tea aka Earl Grey for you normies... 

I log into MySMSA to see what classes I will be taking. Hmmm, Chemistry with Dr. Robot, Intro to Lit with Dr. Pea, Intro to Art with Dr. Queen, Geometry with Mr. ManBurk, and finally French with Mme Well. That does seem bad. I do need to add a history class... I looked through the histories and I decided to choose American History with Dr. Propaganda. In a few days, we are supposed to meet with our advisors to get everything set in stone. I wonder if...HE will be in any of my classes. What grade is he even in? I doubt he's a sophomore like me.

After all of that I headed off to brunch but I was not in the mood for dry biscuits or soggy hashbrowns so I just drank a coke. As I read my email I discovered I have another meeting. Jesus these people are obsessed with meetings. I make my way back to Teen to learn about something, I'm not too sure since after they put on baby sensory videos my mind is now distracted from any words they would say. 

From the corner of my eyes I see some feathers flash near me, could it be...

I look behind my shoulder and there he is sitting and watching the meeting. His feathers were damp, guess he was in the shower I wonder what he smells like...

I feel my face heat up so I face the front again. My heart is pounding so fast I am sure it will just spill out. After the meeting I go see my advisor, sadly having to leave Ace behind but I'm sure he prefers smart girls so I am basically just improving my chances of winning his heart. 

My advisor is Dr. Propaganda! Her warm smile eases my anxiety and we get my schedule settled. I leave with SUCCESS! Finally my perfect schedule! I go to the student lounge in the LLC to see what others are doing. He is there.

He is so handsomely relaxing on the couch.

"Hey"
